Thomas Black was a wealthy man, by the age 22 he had made millions with his business, and even now at the age 25 he was still going hard and earning enough money to rival the royal families riches. To say that him and Lorencio met under normal circumstances would be a lie, they met at a gala held for the death anniversary of Thomas's parents which died when he was 18 years old, long story short they met, hit it off pretty well and caused chaos amongst the guests. Ever since than they had been inseparable, joined at the hip, they did everything together, from miner chaos amongst the revolutionary fighters, to pranking the higher class and royal family.

Thomas was the first person to find out about Lorencio's preference of men rather than women, he was fine with that, after all he wasn't a picky man himself, whether woman or man, if you were Thomas's type than he would court you.

When Lorencio woke up that evening to a strange noise besides him, he wasn't to alarmed after all his dog Benji was sleeping next to him, but than the noises turned to soft murmured words only a human could speak, and Lorencio was out of bed and reaching for his gun in no time. As he turned around to face the mysterious intruder, he was faced with non other than his best friend and brother from another mother. There in all his glory stood Thomas Black "Thomas, what the fuck." Lorencio put down his gun and walked up to Thomas, who was a few inches taller than him, and hit him on his right shoulder. "Ouch, that hurt Lori." came a strangled reply "As it should, you scared me to death, I was about to shoot you Tommy." visibly frustrated Lorencio went to his closet to change into more presentable robes, again he forgot he had made diner arraignments with Thomas.

"Aw Lori, have you forgotten about me again. Oh how could I judge you, after all you're in love, of course you would forget everything besides your beloved August." Thomas was mocking him "You sound jealous Tommy, could it be that you've fallen for me? I wouldn't blame you, after all I am a very beautiful man." Lorencio spat back.

Dinner went as expected, they talked about random topics, and their current significant others, and lastly they talked about business, the revolution, the next attack. At midnight, Lorencio found himself walking down the sidewalk leading to his mothers mansion. That's when he saw him, August was standing across the road, on the sidewalk on the other side. A woman, not older than 19, beautiful dark brown hair that went beyond her waist. The were holding hands, that was the moment Lorencio knew that August would never be his. They shared a kiss, and than the women walked away into her own house, August looked up and they locked eyes, Lorencio gave a smile that didn't quiet reach his eyes and waved. August gave a shy smile back and started to walk towards him "Good evening Lorencio, didn't expect to see you here at this hour of the night." he stated sheepishly scratching his neck awkwardly "Clearly, don't worry August, I never brought my hopes up after last night." he lied through his teeth.

"It was a good bye kiss Lorencio, I broke things off with her, for you." August admitted confidently, yet Lorencio found it hard to believe him "It's alright August, you shouldn't have broken things off just because of me, she's beautiful, most likely kind and a responsible young woman." they were almost at Tanya's mansion when August stopped and took ahold of Lorencio's arms, turning him so he was facing August "Lorencio, you are all those things and more, now shut up and give me a good night kiss because we'll see each other tomorrow or erg... I guess today?" August's voice held sincerity, and Lorencio chose to believe him for now.

He wriggled out of August's vice grip and stepped closer to him, they locked eyes and Lorencio leaned up and planted a short kiss onto August's cheek. He pulled away blushing and looked at August, he had his eyes closed and a smile played on his face, he was also blushing. Lorencio stepped back "That was it, good night August. Thanks for walking me home. I'll see you at the mill." Lorencio stated and gave a small wave and a genuine smile as he walked up to the gate's of the mansion.

August stood there looking after Lorencio's disappearing body, just to make sure he entered his home safely. His chest hurt, he felt this overwhelming guilt, but he had to do what was right. And if that meant hurting Lorencio, than he would only if really necessary. August made his way home, to his awaiting bed.

He layed there for hours, yet sleep was impossible for his mind was filed with thoughts, thoughts of his job and thoughts of non other than Lorencio. He knew that if this war wasn't happening they could have been friends maybe even lovers, but even than that was unlikely, August didn't mind kissing another man but that didn't mean he wanted to or liked it. He was frightened at the thought of being any kinds of intimate with another man, but Lorencio made it feel different, he was slow and understanding, August could actually fathom the thought of kissing Lorencio just that bit longer and on the lips.

August was curious, how would it feel to have Lorencio's lips on his, would they be soft and smooth or chapped and uneven. August found himself thinking intrusive thoughts and to say that he was flustered was an understatement. He felt ashamed at the thought of doing such inappropriate things to Lorencio, oh god help him, how was he suposed to look at Lorencio in the eyes now.

Sleep had eventually overcome him and he fell into a dream filled sleep.
