Can't write rwby fics anymore. I just don't think I can. Every time I sit down and I think and I come up with ideas it doesn't become that. It just becomes me thinking about how much rwby had going for it.
Rwby has fallen far from the grace it had during seasons 1 and 2. The amount of potential the show had was amazing and hopes were high. I say this as someone who has completed every volume.
With the passing of Monty, things changed. I don't think we will ever know what happened but time moved on.
With each season rwby still had the potential to become an amazing show. It always came so god damn close to greatness. But it never did.
And with each season that passes, it's starting to become clearer to me I don't ever think it will ever reach that potential.
Whenever I think about writing for rwby it just becomes me thinking about what could have been, the flaws the show has, and what went wrong.
And with that said, it's impossible for me to change how I feel or think. Making it so fucking hard to writing something I will like to be paired with the flaws of the show.
I have changed a lot in terms of growth as a writer and a person since I first wrote my rwby fanfic. I was a kid who wanted to vent his emotions and ideas onto a cool looking show from youtube. And for a long time it was enough.
Then things changed, and I became someone else.
Hell, five years is a long time for character development.
So I believe it's time for me to put it to rest and look for greener pastures because I can't fight the good fight anymore.
I'm sorry to those that wanted to see a conclusion to my first fics, maybe someday off in the future, when RWBY finishes. But I wouldn't count on it.
Thank you to those who gave me a following on this platform and read or laughed at my poorly written fanfictions, I wouldn't be here without you guys.
With all that said and done. I'll leave you guys with one short scene.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
You slowly opened your eyes, letting yourself wake from your sleep. Thoughts and memories fresh from your sleep tossed and turned in your head before slowly slipping into the void. And you let them, you didn't care for those memories and it was a welcome thing.
A weight shifted on top of you and you realized you had a weight on you in the first place. You looked down, craning your head up to see your partner and girlfriend and everything in between, Ruby Rose. A smile came to your face when you saw her looking up at you with a small smile of her own.
She shimmed up closer to your face, picking her head up from your chest. She closed her silver eyes as she gently kissed you. You kissed back, wanting this moment to last forever. The two of you, only you and her in the whole universe.
She giggled and whispered, "Good morning, (Y/n)."
You whispered back, "It certainly is a good morning now."
Ruby quietly laughed. You sat up and she wrapped her arms around your neck, "No baby, I don't want to get up from bed yet."
A small laugh mirroring hers escaped from your lips, "Red, I'm hungry."
She grumbled as you tossed your legs over the side of the bed. She pleaded, nuzzling her nose into the back of your neck, "(Yyy/nnn)..."
You turned your head to her slightly, "You won't even let me make cookies?" A large smile appeared on your face as you swore you heard the gears turning in her head. She relaxed her grip, "Fine. Let's get dressed."
You exhaled through your nose as she tried to push you off the bed.
After getting dressed the two of you worked together in the kitchen. It was perfect. Ruby had flour handprints on the butt of her pants, and you had one or two small ones on yours.
Soon the cookies were done and you both shared them at a table.
You asked her, "So have you thought about what I asked you."
She smiled at you, "You already know what my answer is."
A slightly mischievous smile was on your face, "I like teasing you so I need you to say it to me."
Ruby rolled her eyes at you and rested her head on her palm, "Yes dumby, I will marry you."
Hearing those words sent you on cloud nine. She playfully slapped your shoulder, "Don't act like you were in suspense." You ate another cookie, "I was just thinking about how happy I was to hear you say that."
Ruby couldn't stop smiling herself, a rose hue on her cheeks, "Saying that made me happy too."
You leaned forward, "Good, because I love you, my little red." She leaned forward as well, "I love you too, my big white rose."
You shared another kiss, her lips tasted like sugar and cookie dough, a classic. A need for air pushed you two away.
You asked her, "Wanna go to bed, Red?"
She stared at you with a smile, "Yeah."
You added, "And sleep?"
She shook her head, "Heck no."
You sighed, "You're insatiable. I spoil you to much, my wife."
She laughed, "Maybe I'm just to nice to say no to you, my husband."
You shared another kiss.
Everything was perfect. Just the way it was meant to be.

Well that's everything. That was my finale goodbye to rwby. Nothing left to do now but go but off into the sunset.
Thank you everyone, I'm very fortunate to have you all.
Goodnight.
