Previously:   He quietly crawls back down the latter and turns off her light. sneaking out her window, leaving Marinette undisturbed. the rain had stopped (which he was thankful for) and yet, the home was still the last place he wanted to be...

Although the girl in the red suit and black polka dots had spent quality time with her kitten, she never actually figured out what was wrong. which of course, was one of their rules, but she couldn't help but think if she was the cause of his suffering.

After the battle, she wishes she could talk to Chat, but of course, her earrings started to beep for the third time. The fact she was swarmed by paparazzi didn't help her case anymore. Luckily, a familiar face in the crowd had warned her and she made her excuse to leave.

Attaching to a building with her yoyo, she was able to swing away with civility. Only looking back once to take a look at chat, who was walking around the city freely, hopefully clearing his head out from whatever was bothering him.

She de-transforms and starts working on her homework, which, I may add, did not last long. After what had to be an hour, the Bluenette pulled out her sketchpad to hopefully come up with some new designs to give to the agreste company for her internship this summer. She was so happy when Adrien helped her set up a meeting. His father looked displeased from what she could tell but Adrien smiled like a fool at her, those emerald eyes that she always got lost in. by the look on Adrien's adorable face, she knew that that was his father's happy face.

with zero inspiration, she got frustrated easily and soon started pulling out fabrics to start sewing together her latest design which Alya helped with. Alya asked for Marinette to make her a dress and that's exactly what she planned to do.

She thought of calling her friends, or maybe even Luka while working on the design but she figured they would all be fast asleep, so instead, she put in her headphones, played some tunes, and got to work.

she spent a decent amount of time on the dress and gained several jabs from the sewing needle along the way, but she thought she could do better.

Without realizing it, Marinette drifted off to sleep...

~~~Marinettes POV: ~~~
"I must've fallen asleep," she thought because all of my thoughts were slowly drifting away, which wasn't such a bad thing, she needed some rest anyway.
throughout her sleepiness, she heard shuffling around her room, that amount she could process before falling further into the darkness of sleep.
The next day Marinette woke up in her bed, she had a wonderful sleep but couldn't figure out how she got in her bed.
wearily, the bluenette crawled down her ladder to prepare herself for school. she decided she was going to wear
I could barely make it to school in one piece. my backpack was unzipped with stuff lazily hanging out the side, on the verge of falling out.  My shoelaces untied, waiting for me to trip.  in my hands, I had my binder, scrolling through pages looking for any homework I might have missed. Ok, so I probably looked like a mess, but at least I made it to school...
I open up my locker and start shoving stuff inside. considering I wasn't tall enough to put my binder on the top of my locker, I had to set it on the ground, skimming the pages while I wrestle with my bag.
I heard the sound of a locker being open just as I was shutting mine. and I sigh as I see "mY VeRy GoOd FrIeNd" Adrien Agreste. "hey Adrien" I say cheerfully. he was looking much better than he was a few days ago (well that's a lie he always looks perfect). Yet, he looked...mad? why was he mad? was he mad at me? what the hell did I do? dammit!
The boy barely looked at me, eyes buried deep to the end on his locker. he only looked at me for a second, nodded, and then closed his locker looking like he wanted to punch a bus, and then left.
I watched the blonde leave. I hated this. I hated me. I hated men.
and I couldn't even help him...
I picked up my binder and started walking to my first class (bio). I barely made it past my locker when an arm attached itself to me.
when I tell you I fought the urge to yell and dropkick this mf. I mean it.
despite my best efforts, I ended up letting out a small yelp of surprise.
when I looked to see who this guy was, I see...Greyson.
he gave me a wide smile, one that reminded me so much like chat. "why helooo Mari!" "hey," I said back.
he seemed awfully comfortable. were all Americans like this? "what class ya got now" he said guiding me through the busy halls where my feet seemed to be going.  "biology" I said shyly. he put on a fake shocked face as if it were the fates bringing us together in ap bio." no way! me too! wanna sit together?" I couldn't help but let a smile crack on my face. "id love to."
Adrien's Pov:
Walking into school today and meeting up with my bro Nino was a perfect way to end the past 8 hours. we found Alya with the Americans and decided to go and hang out. it was perfect.
until we walked into the locker room. Alya had said "ah! there she is!" I looked over to see Marinette. god, she was beautiful. although she was struggling and her hair was unbrushed, her shoes were untied and she forgot to put her hair up today. she. she was everything.
but of course, it all ended when duchebag Greyson over here decided to make a snarky comment on marinettes body. although it was subtle, and everyone played it off like a joke, those words stung through my head. "god look at the ass on that thing" is what he had said. a thing. that's all Marinette was to this man. that's what women were to him. honestly, when the words escaped his mouth, I stared in shock. Marinette wasn't a thing, she wasn't an object. she was my friend. she...she was. she was mine? no, obviously that can't be correct, I'm not that territorial of a friend. but Marinette was also my...she was chats...she was the girl I could count on to save me on things ladybug could not. Marinette was special. she was Marinette. And Greyson would see. He would pay. he would know what he was dealing with. he would know that she's mine.
(A/N: I had a whole ass breakdown writing that.  anyways, it seems although I keep promising to be active, I cant. I will continue to write if I have time or want to but it's getting really hard. anyway. yall have a good ass day. and sorry for the short chapter, I have gotta do homework.
