*Leo's POV*

Getting up in the morning was hell. The pain that soared through my body magnified a thousand times over with each movement I made, outshining what I felt at the hospital, and possibly even the crash that put me there. Through sheer force of will, I forced myself out of bed, turned off my alarm and headed for my bathroom to perform my morning rituals.

I decided against working out this morning, though it had been over a week since the last time, but with the pain I was going through there was no way I'd be able too make it through two sit-ups. After taking my shower and brushing my teeth, I figured I could make it through school today, provided I had some form of pain killers with me. Throwing some Tylenol in my backpack and heading downstairs, I found a note from my mother stating that she had too leave early to talk to Chloe's teacher about yesterday.

Doing a mental eye roll as the memory flashed through my head, I headed out too my car. I was leaving earlier than I did yesterday. Not too find a good parking spot or get there early, I just wanted to get something from Mc. Donald's.

Normally, I would never eat there, but I was too tired to cook and had no desire too eat the school's sad excuse for a breakfast. Putting on my Marianas Trench album I made by burning my favorite songs from them, I skipped to No Place Like Home and let that roll through my head as I started off down the road.

"There's no, yellow bricks too follow back and run from that disaster."

God, I loved his voice. How he transcended from a crystal clear sound, to a heavy rasp, almost effortlessly. I had no doubt they are one of my favorite bands, if not that he was my favorite singer.

"Familiar sins, come crashing in and sever, forever and after. My old friend, its time I leave you here, for once for all in frozen alabaster. Believe me: There's no place like home. There's no place like home."

The Mc. Donald's wasn't too far from where I lived but by the time I arrived I figured walking inside would get me out faster, due to the huge line at the drive through. I wasn't a fan of their breakfast menu, but at least I could get some orange juice and hash browns, one of the few things I enjoyed at this place.

"Leo?"

Turning around in line and looking around, my eyes stopped short as Kyle came into view, walking over in my direction. He looked kind of good today, wearing a black and grey stripped shirt and a well fitted pair of blue jeans. Even his hair was more taken care of, shinning in the light that came from the ceiling

"Hey guy, you alright? What happened to your head?"

I had forgotten about the cut on my forehead. Though it wasn't huge or anything, I'm sure it still stuck out pretty well. I had a number of small cuts on my arms as well from the glass, but nothing really major or as obvious as the one that he just pointed out.

"I got into a car accident. Some ass rear-ended me at a stop sign and I smashed my head on the steering wheel."

"Damn, is that why you weren't at school yesterday? How's your car?"

"My car got destroyed, but I have a new one now."

"That's pretty cool, I'm glad you're okay though. Hey, after you get your food why don't you come and sit with me and my friends?"

"Uh, sure."

After smiling and heading over to his table I turned back around to order. I had no idea what I wanted but they lady behind the counter suggested that I simply get one of the meals. I could tell she was flirting with me, trying to talk up her days after work, then seemed a little annoyed when I didn't ask when she was off.
