"WE'RE RUNNING LOW." Azura Lonadi, Jedda's best friend, snapped at Emilio, pointing down at the bills and the insurance papers that laid on the dirty countertop.

"Oh come on! You know we could make lots outta' this race next year!" The blue eyed boy snapped back, huffing loudly at his own words.

"It's way too risky! We won't be able to spend all this money on cars and training until the next race, which is in a year's time! And we'll most definitely not win. Jedda's our best driver and she can't even beat Oregon Fuit." The girl with long dreadlocks darted her dark eyes toward the boy.

Emilio slapped his clean hand on the dirty countertop, getting some car grease on his skin. "But-"

The two of them turned their heads as they heard a wrench fall to the cement flooring. A guy, with long curly light brown hair, broad shoulders and tattooed arms looked around the place curiously.

"Yo!" Azura snapped her fingers at the unknown guy, approaching him quickly. "This garage is off limits to anyone who isn't a part of the ELITE team."

The guy turned his gaze toward her. His hand reached up toward his forehead, pushing the hair out of his hazel eyes. "I'm actually looking for Jedda Ahoka. I saw her racing last night and I wanna have a word."

Emilio stepped closely to the intruder, crossing his arms protectively.

"Yeah, well step out of the garage first, I told you it's off bounds!" Azura rolled her eyes, placing her hands on his chest and pushing him with all of her force.

"Hey hey hey!" Jedda appeared from around the corner, stepping into the odd situation unfolding ahead of her. "Leave the guy be, alright? Lemme speak to this..." Pausing, she took a better look at him.

Jedda made sure to look at him up and down. His hair pushed back, showcasing his beautiful hazel eyes that almost looked like melting honeycomb mixed with hazelnuts and his big hands that could totally grip onto a steering wheel as well as a woman's neck, hung near his hips.

The girl gulped harshly as she stared at the god-like man in front of her, she sharply looked away, toward Azura in embarrassment.

The guy stood around the corner, leading Jedda out of the garage before her best friend would pounce him.

"I'm Vinnie, Vinnie Hacker." The boy introduced himself, towering Jedda by about eight inches.

"What ya' doin' here?" Jedda asked, looking up at his gorgeous structured face.

"I saw you racing last night and witnessed you winning second place." Vinnie raised his brow, letting his mouth crook upward into a smirk.

"Yeah, well I don't think you could do much better. You weren't even in it." Jedda scoffed at his comment. Why does he have to remind me? The girl thought.

Vinnie placed his right hand into his jean's front pocket, tilting his head back to stare at the birds flying above them.

"I ain't saying you're bad." The boy responded, stepping closer to the girl.

"I'd like to see you try." Jedda said. She wasn't having any fun during this conversation. Especially due to his arrogant attitude.

"I could totally beat you in a race." Vinnie crossed his arms, with a big smile plastered on his face.

Emilio and Azura peered over the corner to listen to the conversation. The blue eyed boy rolled his eyes at Vinnie, slightly feeling jealous. And Azura held her guard up. "Don't race him! He's a waste of your time!" She yelled.

Jedda looked away from her best friend and back up at Vinnie's face, which was so breathtaking. She swallowed deeply before speaking up again.

"Try me."
