A Misfortune (Pokemon)

Chapter 4: Welcome to the Family

I was now moving around exploring the mansion while being followed by Rapp. Rotom was with me now, they immediately came to me after Tupp and a girl named Ayanna walked in with some of my stuff. They also grabbed Rotom and their charging station.

Rotom hasn't left my side since they were brought here, at the moment they were taking pictures as a way to keep themselves calm. Pikachu was watching in amusement as Rotom buzzed nonsense. I would grab Rotom but I'm kinda carrying Nebby.

Rapp opens a door to a room. "We cleaned this room right up just for you and you've got the room all to your self." She announces to me as she pushes me in before shutting the door behind me. I look at the door then at the room. It was quite plain besides the really cool paint smudges that littered the walls. I like the smudges.

There was a decent sized bed against the wall. There was a really soft looking blue blanket on top of the white sheets. I walk over to the bed and set Nebby down on the bed, the blanket is as soft as it looks. Theres a desk that had three drawers near the bed. Theres a closet, which was open because it didn't have any doors, there was empty clothes hangers in it. Other then those things the rooms empty. I take Rotoms charging station out of the duffel bag and set it on the left top corner of the desk.

I look even more into the duffel bag, smiling as I notice that the items in it are the things I interact with the most.  I set my plushies on the bed. The plushies consisted of a Dratini, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Cubone, and a Gengar. I take out the unopened letters and set them down on the desk, reminding myself that I need to read them.

I take the pictures out and smile as I look at them, there was mutiple of them. All of them were pictures of me, my traveling companions, and our pokemon. Some were just of me and my team with the rewards we got from leagues and contests. I set them in one of the drawers on the desk, the smallest which was the top. I set the rocks in the same drawer.

I put the sketch book on the desk next to the letters. I set the art supplies in the middle drawer along with the note sheet. I put my gameboy and the gameboy games next to Rotoms charging station. I put the duffel bag in the closet.

I look over to Pikachu to see how he likes the room just to see him looking up at me with his tail wrapped around the others pokeballs. Ah shit, that's right they don't know what happened to me after I let them back in to the balls.

I pick up the pokeballs, as I do Pikachu hops onto my shoulder once more. "Come on out everyone." I announce as red lights come from the three balls. They take in their surroundings in confusion. They notice me and make noises in confusion.

Rowlet flys over to me and lands on my head, chirping to me as she carefully grooms my hair. Litten pranced to my side and put her front paws on my legs as she mews. Lycanroc carefully presses himself against the front of my legs.

"I'm okay you three." I tell them as I take a seat on the bed. Litten hops up and lays on my lap as Lycanroc lays at my side. I explain where we are and how we arrived. They didn't seem to care, as long I was okay they were fine. I stroke Litten getting her to purr. "I promise you all that I'm okay." I carefully tell them. Rotom floats down next to me. "That's good. Zzt." They say, they are basically one of my pokemon.

Someone knocks on my door, getting my pokemon to sit up and stare at the door. Rotom narrows their eyes in suspiciousion. I hum in response to the knock, hopefully whoever it is gets the memo that they can come in.

The door open reavling a man that had white hair and weird glasses. He looked at my pokemon then at Rotom. His eyes then landed on me. We stare at each other for a little before he speaks. "The names Guzma." He says crossing his arms over his chest.

"Ash." I say mimicking his arm cross getting him to make a face. "I know exactly who you are kid." I look straight into his eyes with smirk. "Do you really though, or do you just know who I am here."

He blinks in confusion at my words. "Your the Professor's kid, you go to that pokemon school, and you constantly get on my Team's nerves." He glares at me. I lean my head back with a chuckle. "No. I'm not the Professor's kid, yes I go to the pokemon school, yes I get on your Team's nerves but thats beside the point." Litten hops off my lap as I stand up and turn towards Guzma. "I'm Kukui's border, I'm not even from Alola. I've seen things that you could only imagine!" I snap at him not noticing the drop in temperature.

  "What?" I've gotten him confused now. "You don't know me." I finish as he looks at me. "What kinda shit did you go through kid?" Is all he says.

Guzma

Not long ago Plumeria came to me to tell me that they brought a kid in, she leaves instead of explaining what she meant. I find out through one of the grunts that it was that kid that kept getting in our way.

The grunts also think the kid is cool, they even gave him a room completely ignoring what I told them. I decide to go and try get the kid to leave. I knock on the door and hear a hum. I enter getting a view of the kids pokemon. A unusual Lycanroc, a very fired up Litten, a wise looking Rowlet that at first glance it'd look like it doesn't have a thought in its head, a large scarred Pikachu, a floating Pokedex, and a weird cloud like pokemon.

I tell him I know exactly who he is and he chuckles. As he chuckles the temperature drops. He then tells me that he's seen things I could only imagine and I can't help but wonder what the fuck happened to this kid. My eyes land on his wrists, freezing at the burn marks. Well fuck another traumatized person just what we need.

As I ask him what he went through, I watch as he freezes in shock. "Woah kid you don't have to tell me." I tell him trying to get him to unfreeze. He unfreezes when the Pikachu carefully sparks him. The Rowlet nibbling at the boys hair.

"Look kid," I awkwardly say as he slowly looks back at me, "You don't need to tell anyone here in Po Town what happened to you until your ready okay." Well fuck guess I gotta invite him to the family now. Damn me and my softness.

"You can stay as long as you need. Don't think I'm doing this out of pity!" I tell him getting a chuckle as walk out of the door. I can't help but triumphantly smirk.
