CHAPTER 6
PARKING LOT

It's only 7:15 AM when I parked my car next to Ali's when I arrived at MU. We have our own spot in the parking area, Eli has her too. I was surprised when I noticed that there's a luxurious car parked at the VIP spot and that spot is for Mr. Leandro Montreal, Seb's Dad. Yep you read it right, Seb's family owns the Montreal University.

I was in Grade 11 noong nalaman ko na pamilya pala ni Seb ang may-ari ng University na pinapasukan ko ngayon. I first heard about it when my parents asked me if I have already chosen a university where I could pursue the degree that I desire. Although it's still early pa naman to decide pero I've already have my eyes on MU. Kaya nung sinabi ko na baka sa MU ako mag-eenroll my parents then told me na it's a good choice. Besides matagal na nilang binabalakan na mag invest sa University na iyon.

Flashback

"Alex do you remember Seb? Your playmate when you were kids?" Mom asked after I said na baka sa MU ako mag-aaral. When she mentioned the name Seb, his face flashed in my mind, although it's a little blurry na kasi mga bata palang naman kami noon, but the memories I had with him is crystal clear.

"Yes Mom, what about Seb?" I asked getting curious because why would she suddenly talk about Seb when we were just talking about MU? She shifted in her seat and faced me while holding her tea, nasa tabi kasi kami ng pool ngayon with Dad who's also listening to us.

"Seb is a Montreal and his Dad owns the University, or let's just say that Seb's family owns MU," she simply said waiting for my reaction.

Okay I never expected that at bakit ngayon ko lang nalaman 'to? Yes I've researched about the Univesity and I knew that the Montreals owned it since 1921 pa nga as far as I have remembered. The article didn't even mention a thing about Mr. Leandro's family not even pictures, just him being the owner after his father died. At kahit pa banggitin si Seb doon, how would I know na he's the same Seb that I once knew? And now, my parents are telling me that Seb is a Montreal and the actual son of the owner of MU really shocked me.

"O-okay? Why did you tell me about this just now? And when did you know about this?" I asked after a few seconds of absorbing the information I just heard.

"I first knew about it when Francis Almeda picked up Seb from our house noong araw ng 7th birthday mo," Dad said as he placed the newspaper he's reading down on the table and gazed at me. "I had a little chat with Francis since we somehow knew each other because we had the same school during college. And he mentioned that he's working with the Montreals and he's the personal secretary of  Mr. Leandro. Pinakiusapan daw siya na siya ang sumundo kay Seb which he also said na nag-iisang anak ni Mr. Leandro," Dad added and I just nodded at napatingin kay Mom noong nagsalita siya.

"We didn't tell you about it kasi bata ka pa naman noon. We know that you're intelligent kahit noon pa naman but we just can't see the importance of sharing it to you back then. And we thought that Seb will tell you about it eventually," she said. How would he be able to tell me about it when I haven't heard anything about him mula noong umalis sila, siya.

Noong panahong nalaman ko ang impormasyong iyon tungkol kay Ali, nalaman ko ding dad pala ni Eunice si Francis Almeda, ang secretary ni Mr. Montreal until now. The reason why she's so full of herself at pinagmamayabang pang kilalang kilala niya personally si Mr. Montreal.
