CHAPTER 10

DROPLETS

"Kahit saang anggulo tingnan Alex, what you did is just super stupid," natatawang sambit ni Chesca last night when we were having a facetime together with Zack. Chesca was using her laptop, while me and Zackario were using our phones.

"I was left with no choice! Kayo kaya sa sitwasyon ko," I irritatingly said. Pero alam ko naman sa sarili ko na katangahan din talaga 'yong ginawa ko.

"What made it worst is that someone saw you peeing in the middle of the pathway HAHHAHAHA!" Zack said and burst out laughing.

"Oh shut up Zackario! I shouldn't have told you about it, you're not helping," I groaned in frustration at sinubsob ang mukha sa unan. Nakadapa kasi ko ngayon sa kama ko. And they're just laughing at me.

When their laughter subsided, tumikhim si Zack at tinawag ang pangalan ko. Kaya naman pa-irap akong tumingin sa kaniya. I also glanced at Chesca who's still holding a laugh and showed me a peace sign. I just rolled my eyes at her which made her burst in laughter.

"What?" walang gana kong saad kay Zack as I gazed back at him.

Umayos ng upo si Zack galing sa pagkakahiga at sumandal sa headboard ng kaniyang kama.

"You mentioned earlier that a guy saw you..." panimula niya emphasizing the word guy. Okay?

"And?" I replied in a not-interested tone.

Zackario grinned at nilapit pa ang mukha sa camera. Natawa naman si Chesca, marahil alam na ang balak sabihin ni Zack.

"Gwapo?" he excitedly asked. With that I rolled my eyes at him.

"Really? Talagang naisipan mo pang itanong 'yan?" I snorted at bahagyang napailing. Napakibit-balikat lamang si Zack habang nakangisi padin.

"So ano nga? Is he handsome hmm?" isa pa 'tong si Chesca. I looked at them and sighed deeply at umaktong inaalala ko ang nangyari kanina.

But I guess my acting came into reality when I found myself picturing his face. His familiar pair of hooded emerald-brown eyes, perfectly molded nose, red lips and his chiseled jaw seem like they were put gorgeously in their rightful places and created a face-of-dream-come-true. The gods must've favored him that much.

"Hoy Victoria!" I was brought back to my reverie when I heard Zack's voice.
What the hell Alex? You're praising that devil again! Sambit ko sa isip ko.

"Siguro napaka-gwapo nung guy! Natulala si Alex eh HAHAHAHHA," pang-aasar ni Chesca sa akin.

"Oh stop it Chesie. He's not even a-ano..." the hell?! Why am I stuttering?
"He's not even that goodlooking," I added and smirked para convincing. But who am I kidding anyway? Tss.

Sumagot naman si Zack, "Talaga? Baka naman dahil sa sobrang gwapo ni stranger guy kaya nalaglag ang panty mo!" and then they started laughing crazily again.

Oh fvck!

Can someone remind me why I became bestfriends with them?!

Nauwi sa asaran ang sumunod na pangyayari at natulog na din ako pagkatapos ng tawag na iyon.

"La, where are your other grandchildrens by the way?" I asked my abuela this morning when we were eating breakfast. Because last time I checked, they were here managing the the plantation since graduate na rin naman sila. Isa rin iyon sa mga dahilan kung bakit gusto kong umuwi rito. Kaya nagulat ako na wala sila dito. Miss ko na din sila kahit papaano.
