I miss updating more books throughout the week but I don't have any story updates. I have also been working on a personal project so here's some art from that and a few text snippets for context. Re-uploading some of the art from previous chapter too.
She hated working all week but Sundays were a stagnant torture. She had nothing to look forward to except one thing. Sure, she often sat down in the living room with a porcelain cup of tea that she had bought from a sketchy underground market and it had the text 'you've been poisoned' written in cursive at the bottom and a murder mystery novel to go along with it but it got old fast.
⚜️
She often didn't even realise when she had stopped reading and lost her way to daydream avenue or whenever she was in full swing of enjoyment and about to get to the best part, she remembered a chore she was supposed to complete two days ago. This is why it bothered her so if he couldn't make it on Sundays.
You are my guiding light, my north star
You help me find my way back home
I'll follow you through thick and thin,
through anything,
If you guide me all night long

He closed his eyes, internalizing the melody.
She wished she could sing an eternal song for him so the moment would never be over and there would never come the time when he would have to leave her. As she reached closer to the ending words, her heart sank deeper and deeper. It became more and more difficult to breathe and her focus broke at the peak of the note.
⚜️
He opened his eyes and looked at her anticipating the end of the song.

"I'll finish this note when you come back. So there is always something lingering between us and our destinies would have to make sure to bring us back together for the conclusion. " She explained."The Gift"

"You don't have to spoil me. I don't want that. " She said with a disconnected air to her.
At this, he responded, "I brought it for you with a lot of love. You'll break my heart if you refuse it. " He spoke gently to her.His confession had the desired effect. She didn't want to break his heart and the way he spoke to her, she knew he had brought it with a lot of love. She could refuse the trinkets, but she could never refuse his love.
What's in the box? Comment your guesses below. And no, it's not a ring! 😉
Hope you like these snippets and the art. Let me know what you think of it.
