"The... doors?" one person had asked him, brow furrowed above their masquerade-like mask. "Yeah, I've heard of them. My horse and I talk about them all the time, but we can't quite figure out what they are for."

"How many are there?" Ydris had asked, leaning slightly over the small table in the fortune telling tent he had set up in order to gather information under the guise of telling fortunes. People could reveal quite a lot when they were trying to figure out what the fortunes meant, he had found.

"There are four that we know of," they had said. "However, the circles on each point of the star indicate that there might be one more."

"Do you know where this final door might be?" Ydris asked. The person had smiled.

"What's gotten you so interested in the mysteries of Jorvik all of a sudden?" they had teased. "Planning on inviting the doors to be part of your circus before you even invite me?"

"Are they sentient?" Ydris had asked, ignoring that last part. The person's laughter had been all the answer he needed, but he would not rest.

"Alright, fine, we think that the final door may lie beyond Northlink, if they ever finish that construction." They had said. Ydris had brightened.

"Thank you! And, er, which way lies Northlink?" Ydris had asked. The person had laughed and, leaving the tent, pointed to where Ydris could just see gondolas passing to and fro in the distance.

"I see," Ydris had said, squinting and shading his eyes with his hand. "Thank you, Zelda, you have been quite helpful."

"You're welcome," Zelda had said, smiling in amusement at him.
