In the following two days it had become a madhouse.

The rumors had turned into the truth.

McGonagall had gathered you all together a few hours earlier to reveal that Voldemort was coming and those who could fight were welcome and encouraged to. It was a full-fledged nightmare; one you had been so terrified of. Those that wanted to fight were very vocal and ready about it. And now you had to choose what you were going to do, what was right.

Hardly any time had passed since Ivy had left and yet things were completely different. Even the bravest, or obnoxious of classmates were now visibly terrified. McGonagall had attempted to calm you, but it only made things worse.

Voldemort had promised no one would be harmed if Harry was given up by the students. And you thought to sacrifice one life to save hundreds was something that should be done.

Potter couldn't keep running and how could he live with himself if everyone got killed fighting for him?

But you were alone with that thought.

Many of your acquaintances had stood, ready to fight for Harry.

Once McGonagall had finished her speech, everyone was on their feet again and once you saw your brother reappear from the midst of faces, you grabbed him by the arm. He whispered to you to go to his dormitories, and you slid out of the crowd with him and booked it back there. As soon as you got to his room, you found him absolutely panicked.

"Jameson? Hey, look at me, it's going to be alright. Are you okay?" you asked, as he sat down on the bed.

You shook his shoulders and forced him to look at you. He was in shock, nearly hyperventilating and he seemed just completely overwhelmed. This was without a doubt one of his worst nightmares, as it was yours.

"They-they said," he stuttered.

"Jameson, I'm going to call mom and we'll get out of here through Hog's Head. I'm not going to let you get stuck in this mess, okay?"

"No," he said abruptly, getting up from the bed.

As if everything finally clicked, he started to haphazardly grab his things to pack. You didn't understand why he wouldn't want to call your mother considering how much pull she had over the system. You two could be out of here in no time.

"What do you mean?" you asked confused.

"I'm going to America still. I don't care about the exams, Christian and Maxwell are still going and fuck it so am I," Jameson revealed.

"Are you crazy?" you half laughed. "This is our lives on the line Jameson. These rumors aren't just rumors, Potter is here, and Voldemort is going to kill him and us if we fight."

"I don't care, I'm not fighting. This is my one chance to get out of here, I'm not going to give it up," he said, turning to you to make eye contact. His breathing had slowed but you could see that he was absolutely determined. Even if you begged him, you don't think anything you said would've changed his mind.

You felt incredibly betrayed.

Every second since you had been aware of Potter's return and this chaos, you had thought about leaving with him. He was your brother, your only person left here that you cared about and yet he didn't think about you once. He only cared about himself, and his chance to get out of your parents grip and leave while they were distracted.

"Look do whatever the hell you want but you guys need to get out of here now. There is no time to waste," you told him putting your own feelings aside. "I love you, please be safe."
