Toon Link x Villager : Cherry Blossoms

A/N : Hey guys, this is like a side story to an AU I’m currently working on. I hope you like it ^^ I need to say a few things first. Wii Fit Trainer, Megaman(he’s called Rock in this) and Villager all live together. Toon Link and Aryll live with Zelda and Link but only temporarily because their Grandma is in hospital. To differentiate between the Link’s, in the house they call Toon Link ‘Rinku’, except when they speak in Japanese in which case they’d call him ‘To~un Rinku’.

That’s basically all you need to know. Also I had to use a translator for the romaji(Japanese without symbols) so I dunno if it’s 100% accurate. That is all.

The car pulled up in front of Toon Link’s house. “Villa, go knock on the door.” Miss Trainer turned her head round to look at the boy sitting quietly in the back. He nodded “’kay Onee-chan.” He unlocked the car door and ran up the gravel path leading to the vibrant green door. Lots of beautiful flowers were blooming around the sides of the house, Aryll did a good job cleaning up the garden. Villa reached up and knocked on the door. “To~un Rinku! Doa wo nyuushu!” He heard Zelda yell from inside the building. “Hai!” a younger voice called back. There was a lot of loud thumping coming from inside, which was probably the sound of Toon Link rushing down the stairs to answer. The doorknob twisted and opened up. Villager was greeted by his boyfriend, smiling his usual smile. “Hey you.” He took the younger boy’s wrist and brought him into a hug.

“Hey. Are you guys ready to go?”

“Yeah almost. Come in.” The blonde let go of Villa and stepped aside so he could enter. “Aryll?” He yelled to his sister. There was a short pause of silence before a reply. “Yeah?”

“Are you two ready yet?”

“Yeah, hold on!” The brunette smiled at the older sibling, him doing the same back. They both stood there not speaking a word; it started to become a little awkward. “So,” Rinku started. “I like you’re t-shirt.” He looked down at it, it was a nice t-shirt. It was light blue at the top and it slowly grew a darker shade as it went further down the material. “O-oh thanks. My mother sent it me last week.”

“How is she?”

“She’s okay. She says she misses me a lot, and wishes she could see me again. But she’s too busy with work and can’t catch a few days off.” At this point Villa’s expression had gone from happy to upset. Talking about his mum was difficult, especially since he hadn’t seen her for nearly 3 months when he had to move away. Toon Link could tell the subject was getting to him so decided to bring his attention to something else. “Uh, so…Did I tell you Aryll started to learn Violin?”

“Really?” Got it.

“Yeah, she had her first lesson yesterday. She did pretty well.”

“You’re family sure are music enthusiast’s. I mean, Link plays Ocarina, Zelda plays Lyre, you play Pan Flute and now Aryll’s learning Violin? Any other insturments you wanna tell me about?”

“Hm…” The boy thought. “Zelda also knows piano, and she’s been teaching me a little but I think that’s it.” The brunette shook his head. He could never learn to play an instrument, but he loved the sounds they made. He had heard Zelda play her Lyre a couple of times and every now and then when he was over at Ninten’s he would hear him sing or play his Ocarina. He had listened to Toon Link play the Pan Flute a lot, since he saw him almost every day, and each time he heard the sound of it he felt so calm and relaxed.

“Anyway how’s your Science project coming along with Lucas and Ninten?”

“It’s doing well. I’m struggling with understanding it though so they have to numb it down for me a lot, but I don’t mind. Science never really was my favourite subject.”
