Chapter 21- Last week of Summer

"I'm sorry, that psycho bitch did what?" I ask. "I know! She tripped Tory, I don't know what got into her!" Miguel replies. So are you and Tory a thing now? I question. "Yeah uh, we are!" He smiles. I'm glad you are happy but don't break her heart because she will go beast mode! We both chuckle. But anyway, Sam does anything she wants and literally gets away with it. She tried to karate chop me or some shit and my Aunt and Uncle just kicked me out. Without my side of the story. "I'm sorry Harp! I mean now you and Hawk can date and move in with each other again!" oh shit! I haven't even talked to Hawk since last night. I will call you back! "Okay, later Harp love ya!" Love ya! I respond. The phone hangs up.

I knock on Hawk's parent's door. "Harper! How are you, hun?" Mrs. Moskowitz hugs me. I'm doing great! "I'll go get Eli!" I node my head. Hawk sprints to the door. "Hey!" Hawk leans on the door frame. Hello! I kiss him. He chuckles "What was that for?" It's you. I want you and honestly, I need you. Hawk kisses me. I smirk. "Well uh was Miguel mad?" Long story! I respond. He chuckles. "Come inside and tell me all about it!"

I'm back at the apartment. I get a text from Hawk.
Hawk: Hey, Moon's having a party we should definitely go!
Me: Oh the girl you cheated on me with, super!
Hawk: Harper, I know but I'm sorry!
Me: I'm kidding, of course, we'll go!
Hawk: 🍆
Me: What was that for?

Hawk picks all of us Cobra's up! I'm super happy Moon invited everyone from Cobra Kai! She said it's gonna be a super chill party. We walk in and greet everybody. Me, Hawk, Aishia and our other friends all sit on the couch. Hawk and I are flirting until Miyagi-Do walks in. I see Demetri, Sam, Robby, Chris and their other nerdy friends. "You've got to be shitting me!" I mumble to Hawk. We all intensely stare at one another. Hawk stares at Demetri. Mitch stares at Chris. Bert stares at Nate. And I stare at the one and only Samantha LaRusso. Miguel and Tory walk through the back door to the living room where we're all located. Their laughter slowly turns into silence. They also stare at Sam. I saw that Tory gave Sam a dirty look. I chuckle with my red cup in my hand. "Let's go," Tory explains to Miguel. Tory and Sam gaze at each other while they walk away.

SAM'S POV
Moon walks up to me. "Sam, I'm so glad you came!" "The kegs are out back, drinks are in the kitchen, and the vegan pigs in a blanket just got out of the oven." Moon, you never said anything about inviting Cobra Kai. I gaze at Harper. I wrap my arms around my waist. "Well, I figured with summer ending and school starting back up, we could stop all the fighting and be friends again!" Moon replies. It's wishful thinking. I respond. "Sam, trust me. Get rid of all this negative energy. Clear your chakras and have some fun!" Moon walks away. Robby and I stare at each other.

HARPER'S POV
Everyone dances on the carpet. Interesting? Everyone chants "Nate, Nate, Nate!" Oh shit, something cringy's gonna happen. Then Nate does Fortnite dances... "I think I just died humiliation even though I wasn't the one doing anything. " Hawk cracks up.

MIGUEL'S POV
We all chant. "Drink, Drink, Drink!" Tory won at least like 5 times, maybe even more. she's a pro! Basically, the challenge is where you have to balance on a chair and you have a cup of alcohol, you have to balance your one leg up while the other's down. And you versus someone. "Drink, Drink, Drink, Drink, Drink!" Everyone chants. Tory's opponent fell right off his chair. Everyone cheers. Winner and still champion! Tory! I shout. "Whoo!" Tory yells while holding her drink in the air. Everyone cheers. Sam walks out. Robby following. A couple of seconds after that Harper walks out to watch, she stands right next to me. Hey, Harp! "Hey, Miguel!" She hugs me.

Tory jumps down from her chair to Sam. I follow her. "Well, look who it is. Maybe you'd like to play a little game? Or are tea parties more your speed, princess?" Tory says to Sam. "Just give me a cup," Sam replies. I look down to the ground. "All right." Tory responds while turning around. "New game!" Tory shouts to the crowd. Sam picks up the chair from the last opponent. Robby whispers something to Sam. They both stand on their chairs. "Drink, Drink, Drink, Drink!" The crowd continues to chant.

Legs up! I shout. "Three, two, one!" The crowd yells again. "Drink! Drink! Drink!" They continue chanting. They both chug their drinks. Tory finishes faster. She crumbles it and throws it on the ground. The crowd and I cheer. Sam starts to lose balance. "Too much for you to handle?" Tory mumbles. Sam gets her balance back. She finishes her drink and throws it on the ground aggressively. Second round. The crowd continues to chant. Tory finishes her drink first and throws it on the ground. Sam finished hers shortly after and throws it on the ground. They both intensely stare at each other. The crowd cheers. "How you doing over there, LaRusso?" Tory asks. "I could do this all night," Sam responds. "Yeah?" Tory chuckles while replying. Tory turns to big red. "Hey, big red, two shots of vodka!" Tory shouts. I give Tory a concerned look. So does Robby to Sam. "Sam." Robby whispers. "Just give it to me." Sam replies. I stare at Sam in concern. The crowd chants again. They both start to take a shot of the vodka. Tory finishes and holds it in her hand. Sam almost loses her balance until she did a Miyagi-Do trick. She got her balance back and takes the shot of Vodka. Sam throws the shot glass on the ground and gives Tory an intense look. Tory then loses her balance and falls. I hold her head from hitting the ground. "Guess somebody couldn't hold their liquor, huh?" Sam says to Tory. Tory are you okay? I ask while trying to help her up. She nudges me. "I'm gonna go clean up. Just leave me alone." She responds. I look at Harper.

HARPER'S POV
I look back at Miguel. I walk up to Sam. I turn to the crowd. New game! I shout. Hawk walks out to watch. He winks at me. I node with a grin. "What do you think your doing?" Sam mumbles in her screechy ass voice. Beating you. I respond with a smirk. 4 shots of Vodka! I yell. The crowd cheers grow louder. Miguel taps me. "Are you sure you wanna do this?" I'm positive, someone needs to teach this bitch a lesson. I whisper. "Legs up!" We take the shot of Vodka. I look to Sam losing her balance. I start to wobble a little but I get my balance back, so does Sam. We both finish and throw the shots glasses on the ground. "Another!" Sam yells. "You sure, Princess?" I mumble. We both get the shot glasses and chug them. Sam wobbles a bit. Then, Sam rapidly falls to the ground. I jump off my chair to Sam on the floor. Better luck next time. I whisper while grabbing her hand and pulling her head up. Or not. I bang her head back to the ground. The crowd cheers grow more intense. Hawk walks up to me and kisses me.

Hawk and I grab drinks and head to the DJ stand in the backyard. We talk to Nate and Mitch. Until a screech comes from the microphone. "Excuse me!" Demetri yells into the microphone. Hawk and I turn around to face him. Demetri taps his cup into the microphone. "I'd like to make a toast." "To Eli Moskowitz!" Demetri raises his cup. Everyone in the crowd is confused about who Eli is. "Oh, I'm sorry. Some of you might know him as Hawk." Demetri chuckles while throwing his empty cup on the ground. Everyone's attention turns to Hawk. But I just continue to stare at Demetri. My face filling with anger. "But underneath that crazy clown cosplay. And whatever type of Manic Panic he dumps in his hair. He's still good old Eli. My binary brother." I scoff. I look back at Hawk. I can tell he's filled with embarrassment. "Well, he was my binary brother. You know what he is now? A real zero." Everyone in the crowd yells "oh!" With laughter everywhere. "All right, that's enough, Demetri." Hawk shouts. "Don't let that angry red hairdo fool you. He's a big softie. We watched every Harry Potter movie together! And he bawled like a baby when Dobby died." Demetri announces with a Dobby impression. All the partygoers laugh. Demetri then imitates Eli sobbing. Hawk turns to me. "All right, if he doesn't shut up, I'm gonna make him shut up," Hawk whispers to me and Mitch. I'm sorry. I whisper in reply. "Remember what Sensi said about showing mercy." Mitch mumbles. I roll my eyes. "In the words of Eli's hero, Steve Jobs, "I've got one more thing." Demetri continues. "Has any of you heard of Sleep Enuresis?" The crowd muttering. Oh no. I whisper to myself. I'm kinda smart sometimes and I know the definition of this. He's gonna embarrass Hawk! "Don't!" Hawk shouts. "That is the medical term, of course. In the King's English, it's good old-fashioned bed-wetting!" I scoff. The crowd stares at Hawk and laughs. "And Eli here is a pro. My mom even had a special air mattress for sleepovers. And she called it... "Eli's waterbed." The crowd's laughter continues. Hawk hands his cup to Chris. "Screw Mercy, you're a corpse!" Hawk starts to walk up to Demetri. Chris blocks us. "Your gonna have to go through me." "Stay out of it traitor!" Mitch shouts. Robby joins in. "Hey, don't touch him." "Or what?" Aishia replies. Moon walks towards us. "Guys. Stop. We're friends." "Ooh, I smell a rumble!" Stingray shouts. They all intensely stare at each other. I sneak past everyone and go on stage with Demetri. I punch him in the face, so hard my hand started to bleed. He fell to the ground. The crowd gasps. Everyone turns back to the stage. I whisper "dick." I run off stage to the bathroom.

On my way to the bathroom, I see Tory. Hey Tory! "Hey, I saw what you did, you badass." She smirks. I smirk back. I look to the window and see Sam and Miguel kissing. Oh shit! I shout. Tory looks to the window. She gives a death stare. She turns around and leaves. Tory wait! I shout. Come on Diaz! I whisper to myself. I wash off the blood in the bathroom. I hear cop car sirens. Oh no! I run out of the bathroom and try to find Hawk. "There you are!" He mumbles. Let's go! I shout.
