Chapter 16 - Magic

"Okay, what about this dress?" Elena holds up a pink dress for Bonnie to see.
"That one is okay, but I love red on you. Red is definitely your color." Bonnie hands her a long beautiful red dress.
"I miss shopping with you." Elena says.
"Me too. I wish Caroline could have came too."
"So what's new with you and Damon?" Bonnie makes a kiss face towards Elena. Elena laughs and smacks her shoulder.
"He's taking me skiing for spring break." Elena smiles.
"No fair! I want to come." Bonnie makes a pout face and leans in on Elena.
"Well if you're planning on sleeping in the same bed as us, which you probably won't want to.." They both start laughing.
"Remember how grams told me I was psychic? It's getting weirder. Like, she taught me this Palm reading stuff and I actually can see or feel things. I did it on one of my cousins and I got this weird vibe."
"Do it on me!" Elena holds out her hands.
"Okay." Bonnie grabs them. She closes her eyes. Elena stares at her. Bonnie opens her eyes quick and throws Elena's hands down.
"What did you see?" Elena asks
"Uhm, I..Elena. I got a bad feeling from yours. I'm not sure." She looks down at her feet.
"What do you mean, Bonnie?"
"Elena it was probably nothing." She gives Elena a smile and starts to walk.

"Damon, are witches a thing? Or is it really just made up stories?"
"Why do you ask?" Damon looks at Elena.
"Because Bonnie's grams said she is psychic. And she learned Palm reading and she did mine today and said she got this weird feeling from it but for me not to worry."
"I've met people who claim to be "witches" but I don't know Elena." He grabs her hand.
"I wouldn't worry about it." He smiles and kisses her nose.
"So are you ready for our trip?" He asks
"Of course I am. I can't wait. Can we leave now?" Elena pouts at Damon and he picks her up and sits her on the counter. He kisses her neck and collar bone.
"Damon..." Elena whispers to him.
"Not in here." She kisses his lips and runs her hand down his neck.
"But this makes it so much hotter." He joked with her.
"Bedroom or nothing." Elena winks at him.
"I'll save it for the trip." Damon starts to laugh and kisses her again.
"Such a tease!" Elena punches his arm.

Elena and Caroline meet at Mystic Grill for dinner.
"Caroline! Hey!" Elena says as she sits down across from Caroline.
"Hey Elena!" Caroline smiles
"I ordered you a water cause the new guy kept asking what you would want but I wasn't sure." She slides a straw towards Elena.
"Thanks!"
"So prom talk!" Caroline pulls out her iPad.
"I found this dress, with these shoes. What do you think?" She shows Elena the screen. Elena looks down at it.
"I love that color! Did you buy it yet? Cause you so should."
"Not yet! I wanted your opinion on it."
"Well I would definitely be getting it!" Elena smiles at her.
"What about you? Have you found one yet." Caroline puts her iPad back in her purse.
"I have a few options but not sure which one yet."
"Get Damon to help you pick! Or me! And Bonnie!"
"I don't want Damon to see it until the dance! So you and bonnie need to come with me to pick."
"Bonnie said I need to get a red one."
"Yes! Red is so your color Elena!"

Caroline and Elena continue to talk about prom at dinner. After they eat they head to their cars and say goodnight.

Elena returns home to an empty house.
"Hello? Jer? Jenna?" Elena turns on the lights. She heads up to her room and shuts her door. She pulls out her phone and calls Bonnie.
"Hello?"
"Hey Bonnie!"
"What's up?"
"Do you want to come over? I got home and no one is here. We could watch a movie and eat ice cream?"
"Sure, I'll head over in a few minutes!" Bonnie hangs up.
Elena walks back down stairs and gets the ice cream stuff out. The door bell rings and she runs to answer it.
"Hey!" Bonnie says as she hands a dvd to Elena.
"I haven't seen this one in awhile!" Elena looks at the cover "Girls just want to have fun".
"I know! We used to watch it every weekend!" Bonnie says as she sits her stuff down.
"So where is everyone?" Bonnie asks.
"I think they went out to dinner and a movie?"
"Elena, the other day when I read your palms, I told grams about it. I want to show you something else." Bonnie grabs a pillow and rips it open with feathers falling out.
"Bonnie what are you doing?" Elena says as she picks up feathers.
"Just watch. Don't say anything." Bonnie closes her eyes and concentrates. Elena watches in aw as feathers fly up into the air.
"Bonnie!"
Bonnie opens her eyes. She smiles big.
"Wait for it." She says as more feathers start spinning around them.
"Wow, Bonnie I can't believe this."
"Elena, it's true. What grams said, I'm a witch." Bonnie and Elena both smile.
"You aren't weirded out about this?" Bonnie looks at Elena.
"No. No of course not Bonnie."
"Good. Don't tell anyone else, okay?"
Elena nods her head and hugs Bonnie.
