"Are you nervous?" I asked Ryujin who was sitting next to me with a tensed look on her face. Upon hearing my voice she turned to looked a t me and smiled, a fake one.
"No... I'm not." She replied, obviously lying. I let out a low chuckled looking straight on the road as I drive.
Of course I understand her fear, it's a high profile case which includes many known faces and all of all this is a forbidden case for anyone officer, buried by the power of money and power.
I smiled, "Ryujin if you are scared you can still step back. I asked for your help because I thought you wanted to do it...but if you are not comfortable then of course you can drop this."
I told her, although I do need support but this I'm more responsible for this case more than just a officer fighting for justice; I'm finding to undo the wrong done by my father this includes me more than Ryujin.
"No Sunbae... I want to help you." She suddenly said pulling me out of trance, I glanced at her and she gave me a smile, "I know this case is complicated and if you fail we will get in trouble one way or other but I want to help you sunbae." She said, her words me a feeling of warmth.
I smiled at her, She smiled back confidently. "After all I respect you sunbae and I know you'll solve this case for sure and I always stick by the winners." She boasted with a proud smile on her face which made me chuckle.
"Is that so.. then you're in the right team." I boasted back, she laughed.
"So we going to meet Dr. Kim?" She asked, I paused and nodded my head.
"Yes is right." I replied, she smiled nodding her head understanding.
After few hours of driving we finally reached out destination, Daegu. The place all this started years ago. Slowly I stopped my car in front of the big garden, it's still the same as I visited years back with my father. I got down from the car followed by Ryujin, she was baffled by the place.
"What is this place?" She asked as she observed the location curiously. I looked around, maybe not everything is same, I thought to myself looking at the tall trees all around the cemetery. It was indeed the same place I visited with my father but it looked a lot different now. It's a lot green and surrounded with tall tress.
I turned to look at Ryujin and smiled, "Before we started let's meet someone." I said, she eyes me and the place carefully and the nodded her head agreeing.
