Izuku was betrayed by almost everyone he knew, his quirk was taken, he was then sent Tartarus. After a surprise attack, he was then put into a coma, their he meets someone that changes his life.
Izuku and Melissa were currently sparring early in the morning. They usually spar a little later, but Melissa wanted to spar to see how strong they were. After the Battle Royale, Izuku confronted the one's who fought him and gave them a chance, but if they messed up once, they would never be forgiven again. We also see 1-A watching these two sparring.

"Geez, just how strong are these two ?" Shoto asked
"Their probably stronger than All Might and Endeavour if they teamed up-kero" Tsuyu said while her finger is on her chin
"Didn't Midori say that their Sensei's were basically gods?" Mina asked
"Yeah, can't believe the damn nerd is a god" Katsuki said
"Well, let's hope they don't destroy the building" Kirishima said
And just as he said that, they then stopped and landed on the ground.
"That's enough" Izuku said
"Alright, but your really strong Izuku" Melissa said as she tried to catch her breath
"Well, don't over do it." Izuku said as he looked at his classmates
