((Note: I used a prompt for this particular poem, it was: "Describe a person, place, thing, or occurance that you find is similar in many of a character or protagonist of your's dreams" ))

Whenever I remember

Whatever strange dream I had last I slept

I remember them

I remember seeing a familiar somebody, watching over me

the same one that I see every single time

I never remember whether they had any significance to the dream

But I could tell their presence, you know?

They were tall with skin a very darkish gold hue

They wore what looked like a navy blue uniform

With at least twenty buttons down the shirt

And that is almost all I can remember

I didn't see their mouth but I knew they had a voice

I don't know what they said but I know what it sounded like

I don't know what they told me but I know it was reassuring

I don't know who they were but I knew they were important

I don't understand why I keep seeing them or what it means

But I don't mind, I enjoy their company
