We were sat on the carriage that trekked through to Axel; it has been a while since we went over the border. Several adventurers that I can count with my fingers still remained on the carriage; a few moments ago, we made a stop for some of the people on the wagon to get off. I looked at the kid I took on as my apprentice; he seems to be fascinated by his surroundings. We were in a place where there was not a spot of white; now, he is surrounded by snow. Chip should enjoy this while it still remains since we are nearing the end of this season. Still, it feels surreal that we found him in that cellular; it must be a miracle. As I had that thought, I felt a tug on my shoulder, snapping me back to reality. The person in question was Chip, who sat beside me as he pointed at the fields covered in white.

Chip: "Hey! Look around, don't you find it amazing that it is snowing?"

Looking in the direction, he pointed at.

(Y/n): "I find it more annoying than amazing since it really proved to be annoying to deal with the freezing weather while at the mansion. Thankful, winter is nearing its end; we won't be wasting as much money on firewood."

Turning my attention back to Chip, he seems to be lost in childlike wonderment. I felt joy when looking at the boys' expression of wonder. Admittedly, he does not seem older than Megumin; still, what he experienced must be boiling underneath the surface. Returning my attention to the empty space in front of me, I studied it until I noticed a drop of dried blood on the wooden board. Reminding me of what occurred that night on the wall, he appeared to have been terribly wounded from how the blood seemed to have seeped through the cracks. Since then, it has been three months, and there appears to be no word from him. Radio silence, could he have bled out? If so, then that takes care of one problem... Nature took its course. Still, I wanted to be the one to take care of him since letting things end like that leaves an unsavoury taste behind.

That is when the carriage stopped; it seems we have arrived as close as we could. The others that were with us on the carriage started shuffling off the cart. I nudged the kid as I made my way off the wagon as well. Upon getting off, we headed in the direction the others were headed. Chip had trouble traversing the snow-covered ground. Since we were a reasonable distance away from where we came, Chip turned to face me.

Chip: "Where are we headed to, anyway?"

(Y/n): "Well, what do you reckon, Chip?"

Chip: "We're going back to your home?"

(Y/n): "Yes, we are."

What ensued after that was a few moments of silence where the only sound was crunching snow and distant chatter. This is why I decided to break the silence and explain to him the entire shtick of our party.

(Y/n): "Alright, Chip, let me tell you all about the people who are in our party. First and foremost is Kazuma; he is the party's brains and is the leader of the party whose class is an adventurer. Then there is Megumin, a Crimson demon mage who loves explosion and is a ticking time bomb, so be careful around her. Now listen closely and carefully, never mention anything that is in any way naughty around Darkness she is a bit special, plus she's the main tank of the party; whenever she isn't around, I fill her spot. Leading me to Aqua... She's an alcoholic and our Arch priest."

Chip: "O-kay..."

(Y/n): "Don't worry, Chip, you'll fit right in, plus you are our newest party member ever since... Oh, I forgot about her."

Chip: "You forgot to mention someone?"

(Y/n): "Yes, the last person to join our party was Chris! She's the thief of our party. Both Aqua and Chris ar-... No, I can't say that to the kid. I don't want him to get the wrong idea about me other than that I'm smooth."
