One day Hitoshi goes and invites Denki to come and hand out with him for a sleepover at his house. Denki accepted though barley hung out with Shinsou at all, Eri had pulled him along and got him to play with her the entire time. Hitoshi was never the perfect child after Eri was there, he always seemed like the second choice. So when Denki almost completely ignored him the entire time that he was there he snapped. After Denki left he yelled and yelled and blamed Eri for taking, "One of the only things that ever makes him happy", away from him. Shinsou then just goes into hiding, stopped talking to Aizawa, Mic, Eri, but most importantly, Denki. Kaminari has become so worried for him over the weeks that he has been gone until he just breaks down in worry and goes to the Aizawa's household. He gets into Hitoshi's room and talks it over with him, Hitoshi ends up going on a long rant on what happened. That rant ended out with the line, "All I do is fail, she takes it all, even the one person that I love.." After this all Denki accepts the confession and they all seem okay again for a bit until Kaminari's mom goes through his phone and finds his texts back and forth with Hitoshi
