"RISE AND SHINE EVERYONE" Magnus' voice boomed throughout the third floor.
The sun hasn't even started poking out from behind the mountain yet, the only way to tell that it's morning was from the clock that read 5:01.I pushed open my double doors to poke my head out and see what's going on. I was met with Achilles' and Drusus' heads also looking out their doors, tired and confused.
"Classes start 3 hours early, remember?" Drusus reminded us, his eyes still drooping from exhaustion.
Achilles groaned, turning around and slamming his door behind him. Me and Drusus shrugged at each other and also returned to our rooms to get ready.
Unlike yesterday, I threw on a tight spandex full suit that went from my toes to the top of my neck. I took out my braids and put my wavy hair up in a pony tail and placed my feet inside my sneakers.
Four times a week we had morning training where father has us do our physical exercise as well as combat training. Normally we'd start at 8 a.m. but looks like mother wasn't joking about the extra hours.
I admired myself in the mirror for a moment before stepping out in my tight fitted uniform. I ran my hands from my chests to my thighs to admire the body I will never appreciate. The girls out in town would kill to have a body like mine. Since I grew up with 3 brothers, I always had to work harder in training, resulting in my slim but muscular body.
The town girls would always wear their little shorts and tight tops, enjoying every part of themselves. I bought a few clothes without mother knowing, hidden in the back of my closet. I had convinced myself that I'd find a place to wear them, I just had to be patient.
"Merope come on!" Achilles yelled from the hall, making me jump from my place. I darted to the door, not wanting to be late for our temporary schedule. Achilles and Drusus were waiting for me, wearing the same suit as I was.
"Magnus is already at breakfast, he kept me up all night with his 'research'" Achilles complained."What was he doing this time" I asked, making our way down the stairs.
"Some potion or something that apparently requires him to break literal rocks in his room!I don't understand why my room has to be next to his" he explained groggily. "Drusus, wanna trade?"
Drusus simply rolled his eyes, too tired to joke around.
"In Almas we'll probably all be in the same suite, so just mentally prepare for that" I informed them.
"Nope, I heard that we'll be getting all different rooms this time. I don't know if you realized this Merope, but we're rich." Achilles never passes up an opportunity to be sarcastic.
"How could you possibly know that? We just found out yesterday of the trip" I asked.
Achilles opened the door to the kitchen. "Magnus and dad bought all the tickets last night, another reason I couldn't sleep"Of course they planned the whole trip without us. At least we know that we are 100% going, I assume even father was nervous that mom would change her mind. He probably wanted to buy the plane tickets before she could think too much about it.
We ate our breakfast without Magnus who just couldn't wait to start training because he left before we got there. I was probably the smartest one in the family, but since I am not a try-hard like Magnus is, I get no credit.Maybe I should start showing up to my classes early too, so I'll get some extra privileges.
The training room was on the top floor covered with a glass roof, you could see the sun rays started to poke through over us. On one side there were weights, bars, and other machines used for whatever muscle we were working out that day. On the other side, there were mats placed down and a shelf full of swords, all gilded and encrusted, each worth the price of an average sized home here in Rhode Island.
