this is tanjiro x inosuke's twin sister!! for some context you, and tanjiro all went on a mission together

Tanjiro's POV

" y/n you need to be more careful " i put a bandage on her face,we had just fought a demon and she got messed up pretty bad. " i don't need your help!! " she retaliated " y/n please! your brother told me to take good care of you " i frowned. " fine " she still looked upset but not as much " thank you " i smiled and kept taking care of her injuries. i noticed she kept looking at me, which made me a bit nervous. " there!! that should do it! " i stood up and offered her my hand " we should go back to the butterfly mansion, you're still pretty injured.

" she took my hand and stood up " i'm fine!! we don't- shouldnt go back. " shouldn't??? " what do you mean shouldn't is something going on? " she looked a bit embarrassed and turned away " it's nothing, forget i said anything. " i felt bad, i wanted to protect her. i mean inosuke asked me to but.. i also love her, and i hate seeing her like this.

your POV

tanjiro still looked upset at my answer. truth is i just wanted to be alone with him. i cant really get that at the butterfly mansion, mostly cause inosuke's set on making sure he's good enough. " if you don't want to go back we should at least rest. " i knew he was right but i don't like being cared for.. " do i have to? " he giggled a bit " technically we don't ' have ' to, but i still think it'd be best for you. " i blushed a bit, besides inosuke no one's ever really cared for me.

" fine. " he seemed really happy. " i think there's a town near by, wanna stay there? " " i guess so " he took my hand and we started walking. i felt nervous as HELL. don't panic don't panic don't panic. he's just tanjiro. tanjiro is holding my hand. " you okay y/n? you look uncomfortable. " he pulled his hand away and i grabbed it again. " i'm fine. " he smiled and kept walking. he also kept glancing at me.

eventually we reached the town, but at that point it was already dark. we stopped at an inn ( idk what to call it so sorry:( ) and we walked into our room. he put nezuko's box down next to a bed. " nezuko you can come out if you want. " the box opened and she poked her head out and looked around, when she saw me she got excited and came over. " i think she likes you. " i giggled a bit and he looked away.

nezuko sat close to me and handed me a hair tie. she asks for me to do her hair all the time, so i was pretty used to this. we sat on the floor for a bit while i did her hair before i realized she was asleep. " tanjiro she fell asleep??? " he laughed a bit before having me help him get her back into her box. i laid on the one of the two beds ( the other one is the one nezuko's box is next to for context ) in the small room. tanjiro laid next to me " thank you. " i was confused and looked at him " what are you thanking me for?? " he stared at the ceiling, it kinda seemed like he was avoiding eye contact.

" for everything, you've always been nice to nezuko. you never tried to hurt her or tried to bring out her demon side. " " well she's your sister. i'd never hurt her. " he turned to me " and thank you for going on missions with me. " he started to fiddle with the sleeves of his haori. " y/n can i confess something? " he went back to avoiding eye contact " sure go ahead. " i waited, he seemed kinda scared. " well.. you know how i always care for you? i told you that inosuke told me to.. which he did, but.. it's also cause i love you " i have no clue what that means. " what do you mean love?? " his eyes got big at his face got really red. " i- sorry i forgot you didn't know what it was!! " he covered his face and turned away

tanjiro's POV

" so that's basically what love is.. " i felt embarrassed, i can't believe i forgot. " ohhh.. i love you too. " she said it so calm- how is she so calm- i honestly some what expected her to be kinda weirded out by the whole thing. " y-you do? " i smiled and so did she. " yeah. " i got an idea " can i do something if that's okay? " ( yall know where this is going ) " sure " i brushed her hair out of her face and kissed her. i pulled away and she looked very confused. " WHAT WAS THAT? " " i kissed you.. did i make you uncomfortable or something?.. " she paused for a moment " DO IT AGAIN " i smiled and kissed her again, i really love this girl.
