Getting to Know You Pt.2

*Monica's POV*

After getting the two crews acquainted with each other, smoking, and listening to music for a little bit we finally were off to the mall. Since I had to go pick up Stacey, we decided that it would be better if Sasha and Yolanda rode with Julian. It would give them all a chance to get to know each other. But of course there had to be that one person who didn't like that plan, which was Julian. He insisted that he ride with me because according to him it's not safe for a female as 'beautiful' as me to drive alone. Bullshit! It is broad daylight outside, what could possibly happen to me?

While he was trying to reason with me on why he should ride with me, Langston thought it would be a good idea to drive out of the parking lot leaving Julian and I by ourselves. Trust me when I say that leaving him in that parking lot was an option weighing heavy on my mind.

As I turned around to walk over to my car, I felt Julian's strong arms wrap around my waist and pull me into his chest. The heat that radiated off his body made me want to melt. I felt him move my hair to the side and before I knew it he leaned down and whispered into my ear.

'I hope you didn't think you were leaving me here' he said, his cool minty breath sending chills down my spine. Since I felt like he was teasing me, I decided to shoot back a smart remark.

'I don't think, I know! God gave you two legs to walk, so get to stepping' I said trying to get out of his strong, warm embrace.

  He watched me and laughed, letting me go in the process. I watched as he not only started walking to my car, but he decided to sit his yellow ass in the driver's seat.

  'Umm, what the fuck do you think your doing'? 

  'Fastening my seatbelt, you know safety first' He chimed smiling brightly 

  I tried not to smile back, which was hard because his smile was so bright like I haven't been insulting him every since he got here, it's like it didn't bother him. Why didn't it bother him? Why is he still smiling at me like this? Why does he make me feel so--

  'Monica, just come on, sit in the passenger seat and let someone else drive you for once' He said cutting me off from my internal rant. I thought about it for a minute, I mean it would be nice to sit back and relax. I'm always driving! I do it so much that I don't even remember what it feels like to ride shotgun.

  'Fine, but please be careful, this is my second baby and if you do anything to it I'm beating your ass! Understood?'

  'Yeah ma' he grumbled as he started the car. I got into the passenger seat and called Vinnie letting him know I was on my way to pick up Stacey. Vinnie watches Cici sometimes because his little brother is the same age as her, so they'll play with each other.

  *Julian's POV*

  The drive to this dude Vinnie's was silent but it was a comfortable silence. The melody of 'Maria Maria' was playing softly in the background. I looked at Monica to see her knocked out. She was so beautiful with her pouting lips, I just wanted to kiss her, so bad, but I decided against it. I thought back to the  moment at my house when I kissed her. It felt different from all the other girls I've kissed, it felt so surreal.

  I don't know what it is about Monica but it's different, it's almost like she tries to hide the fact that she's broken from everybody but I can see it. I want to know who or what hurt her. I just want her period, and it's going to take some time but I'm going to have her.

Well guys I've finally updated and I'm honestly sorry I kept breaking my promises but ima do better. I had this chapter written a long time ago but I lost it. It was like finding the lost episode of SpongeBob 😂, come to find out it had fell to the back of my nightstand drawer. I had to remove the whole drawer to get it but here it is. Anyway, I'm not gonna promise you when the next updates going to be because that depends on the likes and comments. Just know I won't keep y'all waiting for like 4 months again. - Love Milan
