After unsealing the final area, Yuko ventures into it, pursuing the black hole at the bottom. This area is by far the most dangerous of all, it's a true gauntlet that puts Yuko's skill with the VCG to the ultimate test. At the end of the area lies the game's true final boss, known only as a "Guardian," the "god" of the race of people that once inhabited/still technically inhabit Sheol. "Beating" this creature for the first few times isn't a true victory, rather a piece of its armor comes off and it unleashes an attack that unavoidably kills Yuko, sending her back and forcing her to try again. After whittling it down over the course of multiple runs and fully removing its armor, the Guardian can now be stunned as it loses access to that ultimate attack, though to compensate it is much faster and has access to a new variety of attacks. Winning this final fight gives Yuko enough time to access the black hole. She casts the VCG into it, permanently destroying it. She then returns to Home, the VCG no longer in tow.
