Your place in the world

It took me the longest of time,
The biggest of all realizations,
A spark ignited with a glance,
All my life united,
It is all unfolded,
With such grace blinding the prettiest of eyes.
It is my duty,
My role,
My destiny,
My purpose.
I shall follow the path many have walked upon,
With tears of sorrow in my eyes,
Fresh blood on my hands,
And thoughts of the past.
With their knives they have torn me apart,
With their bats they have broken my bones.
They chattered, they chattered.
Their words like gasoline to my fire,
A fire burning so brightly, it burned me to my death.
A fire I shall never be set free of,
And the wasted time of uncovered details.
I now walk, upon a path many see impossible,
But it is my life, i must live,
For I have chosen myself
What my purpose would be.
