sorry i found myself funny uh but yea i'm dislexic so plz don't think i'm a 9 year old who can't spell😭i'm 14 and can't read or write😍 but yuh don't bullie me🥲

me and my bestfriend ryleigh loved hockey, it was our whole lives.

one day we both got invitations to play for the ducks peewee hockey team and this was an offer that we could never turn down! in scotland there isn't much good teams and there isn't really a good future for hockey players here but in minnesota there is! since my mum and ryleighs parents had to work and couldn't come with us coach gordon bombay offered to pay for our hotel room!
it was the night before we had to leave for minnesota and i was exited but sad, i was gonna miss my family and friends like a lot! but if i wanted a future in hockey i had to make sacrifices. i told my mum that if i managed to get ahold of a phone there i would call her every time i got the chance!

i had finnished packing so i decided i should call ryleigh
~phone call~

"hiiii how are you going with packing?"
"i've already finnished"
"yea same"
"so what's happening tomorrow with the airport and stuff"
"uh so ur mum or dad will drop u off at mine tonight because i'm closer to the airport then at around 3am we need to get up to get ready to go the the airport and out flight is at 6:15am"
"woah ok that's kind of a lot"
"not that much when we think about it"
"so when does practice start?"
"the day after we get there, because we are ahead of americans time zone it shouldn't be to late by the time we get there but coach bombay said that we could rest when we get to the hotel because we have to be up early"
"okok that sounds great, my mum is getting my stuff in the car so i should be about 30 mins"
"ok see u then, bye!"

me and ryleigh where currently boarding our flight and saying goodbye, i couldn't believe we were leaving but i knew what i had to do.
we had finnished boarding our flight and the plane had already taken off

"soo do u think ur gonna get into a relationship with anyone?"

"do u think u will?"

"maybe, if i find the right person"

"well i'm going for hockey and only hockey, yea i'll make friends and stuff but i don't have time for a relationship"

"ugh cmon what if one of the ducks is like ur soulmate or some shit like that"

"i doubt it, we're from like half way across the world ryleigh we're literally foreigners to them they probably won't even want to talk to us"

we had arrived at our hotelle and checked in and when we got to our hotel room it was pretty nice. me and ryleigh sorted all of our stuff out and got out pjs on.

"u wanna watch a horror movie?"

"yes yes anddddd yes"

i had put on the movie and not even 5 minutes into the movie i had already found myself dosing off and then eventually i had fell asleep...
