I could smell the beer from outside the bar. When I stepped in the scent of alchol was so strong I could practically get drunk off it. But alcohol wasn't the only thing that I could smell. Wolves.
Werewolves had a distinct animal like scent that can only be smelt by other wolves. I look over to find a group of men sitting at the bar and the smell lingers there. The whole place is dimly lit. People are dancing and laughing all around the crowded bar.
The soft tune of a country song plays in the background as I walk over to the bar. Once I'm there they finally notice the off scent and look over at me. I can smell the beer on them. The bartender comes over towards me as I take a seat.
"3 shots of whiskey." I say and smirk knowing that the group of men were watching me.
"Damn baby, who you trying to drink away?" One of the men ask a drunk smile playing on his lips.
"Not drinking away anybody, just looking for a good time." I say as the bartender places the shots infront of me. I down them with in seconds. Wolves had a little higher tolerance than humans but not by much.
I lick my lips looking the guy over shamelessly. Hot was the only word that came to mind.
"Bell." I tell him holding my hand out. All his friends look at him waiting.
"Troy." he says grabbing my hand that is slightly smaller than his.
"Well Troy, are you gonna introduce me to your friends over there?" I ask slowly waiting for his replay as I see his friends staring with curious eyes.
He chuckles and nods his head. I let my lips turn up and give him a small smile.
"Bell this is Colin and Mickey." He says introducing me to his friends. I smile at them Waving.
"It's very nice to meet you, but If it's okay I'd like to steal Troy away to dance with me." I ask with a sly smile.
"Well I'm sure we can let that happen." The man named Collin answers. I smile as Troy grabs my hand and leads me to the dance floor.
As soon as we squeeze through the crowd his hands find my hips and we start dancing.
After a while my eyes land on his lips and he notices. I see his head start to lean down and I pull my body closer to his letting our lips meet. I can taste the alcohol on his mouth as we kiss in the middle of the dance floor.
I pull away and bring my lips to his ear. "Buy me a drink?" I ask.
"Of course." He says smirking. He gets big cups of beer. "You have impressed me so far, let's see if you can do it some more." He smiles handing me the cup.
I meet his smile. "This," I say looking at the cup, "is nothing."
"Oh really? Drink it all then." he says cockily.
"Alright then." I reply placing the cup at my lips. I tip it back taking consistent sips till I'm done with the whole thing. I can already feel myself getting drunker by the minute.
My body is practically swaying as I talk and drink with Troy and his friends for a little while longer before deciding I need to leave.
"Let me take you home." he says holding me up. He only drank a little bit, enough to get a buzz but not drunk.
"Your not going to kidnap me are you?" I ask jokingly. Of what I know about him already he wouldn't do that.
"Of course not, you,"he laughs taking the half full cup from my hands "are just not exactly good enough to drive." He says.
"That makes sense." I nod my head over and over again for no reason.
"Can you walk?" He ask me. I look at my legs and they honestly feel like jello.
"I don't think so." I say laughing at myself as I swing my legs on the stool.
He laughs before picking me up in his arms and carrying me outside. The cool air hits my face whipping my hair around.
He opens his car door placing me inside in the passangers seat and shuts the door. I place my head on the window letting the coldness help the dull headache that would soon be major.
"Where's your house at?" He ask me when he's in the drivers seat.
"Comfort Inn." I tell him and he laughs.
"Should of known you weren't a local." He shakes his head as he starts the car.
I'm quiet for a little while before I speak up."So no mate yet I presume?" I ask.
"Nope not yet." He answers with a chuckle, "and I assume the same for you Bell."
"Correct!" I answer with a laugh, "and a good thing too."
"And why's that a good thing? " he ask curiously, "I though most girls would want to as soon as possible."
"Ha most do, and I pity them for that," I Confessed. We pulled into the motel and he put the car in park. My drunkness slowly fades away as I turn to look him in the eyes, "Most girls have never gotten to travel, experience different cultures, hell just lived for themselves. I don't want that for myself. I want to be free. I've got so much left I want to do. I mean I'm only 19. Not even drinking age." I smile.
He scoffs. "Nobody even noticed." he laughs.
"I know." I laugh along with him. Some of the alcohol had left my body and I was staring the sober up.
I grab my stuff getting out of the car and he does to.
"You don't have to walk me to the door." I laugh.
"I know. Just wanted to make sure you made it safely." He says.
"Your such a gentleman." I laugh to myself.
"That's how my mom raised me to be." he smiles.
"Your gonna find your mate Troy and she is going to be the luckiest girl in the world." I tell him. "Can't say the same for my mate though. He's gonna have hell on his hands." I laugh.
"Same place tomorrow?" He ask and I nod.
"The Swinging Donkey, 8:00." I recite and he laughs. "See you tomorrow Troy." I say and head into the motel room.
I take off my shorts, change into a loose t-shirt, and fall onto the bed falling asleep instantly.
