Mahinahon ko'ng tanong sa kaniya sabay ng pag-upo niya sa tabi ko
" As the meeting starts, all is prepared, since my dad appointed me for the meeting.."
" So...?"
She just take a deep breathe as she lay down the bed beside
" But..I never expect that the heads of the biggest partnered companies are arriving, not the secretaries nor the CCO, CFO, COO-- but the CEO's!.."
Napahawak nalang siya sa kaniyang ulo na parang nagmukhang-stress
" T-That's terrifying.. So, how did it went?"
" Well.. Naturally I got nervous, because I am the only representative from our company in that meeting, and my dad is not around since he is on a business trip---same to that guy I am telling you about, which is normally I am half unprepared.."
Hala.. Grabe naman..
Parang nakita ko nalang na tumulo yung luha niya as she manage to calm down
" Okay, release the pain-- vent it if you want!"
I optimize her as she take a deep breathe again
" My dad should've told me that the BIG HEADS are coming-- but, I understand that he is a bit busy... "
".. I can take this as a challenge, since I really wished to be the CEO of my family's company
" In that meeting, what are their reactions?"
" They thought that Yuhan would be there with me, but he is not.."
Yuhan?!
" Who is Yuhan?"
I ask curiously nang napatawa nalang siya sa akin nang medyo inirapan ko nalang ng kunti
Oh segi, itawa mo nalang! HAHAHA!!
" I haven't told you about my husband's name, didn't I?"
I just shook my head as she clears her throat
" His name is Yuhan, but mostly all of the company call him Sir or Mr. Yuhan .."
" Aw.. So would you explain to me why are you soaked like walking on the rain?!"
Seryoso ko ng tanong sa kaniya nang natahimik nalang siya
" My reports in that meeting is not complete, since they needed the overall review-- I worked almost blood sweat and tears just to submit it right away..."
" Supposedly, I go home at 3 o'clock at my grandmother's house-- but I was caught up on the rain when I got out of the building before I could grab a taxi..
Grabe naman yung araw nito..
" I just.. decided to drop here since the village we lived in, is kinda far.. And I need someone to vent with.."
Naramdan ko nalang yung lungkot niya sa kaniyang pagkakasabi habang malungkot na nakatulala ang tingin sa ceiling
" I know that you don't want your dad's disappointments-- but you are doing your best, you are working hard so that one day you will get your dream job eversince!"
I motivate her, as I move myself a little bit closer to her
" I w-wonder.. How can a girl like you, still be positive and motivated even she lost her biggest loved-dad in such a young age.."
".. How?.."
Halos pangiyak na niyang pagkasabi as I just try my best to smile at her
" I may lose my d-dad, but I know t-that *gulp* he is still here.."
I point to my heart as I manage to smile with my teary eyes
Still now.. I have no idea abou why he left..
All I already knew is about Trixie's life and my father's life before...
" Now, you still have your dad.."
" And you still have your mom.."
Napatahimik nalang kami sa isa't-isa nang pilit ko'ng pinigil 'tong mga luha ko
" I really have big dreams Blair.."
In her tone, alam ko na medyo seryoso siya kapag hindi nickname yung tinatawag sa akin
" To?.."
" To make my dad proud of me.."
Agad nalang ako'ng napatingin sa kaniya as she just lift up a sad smile
" To get the job I really dream of, and.. to be a mother one day.."
Exactly the Elijah I met eversince...
" B-But why do you have to make yur dad proud of you?-- You were promoted to be the Cheif Cooperative Officer in less than a month!"
" Remember.. The one who promoted me is not my dad, it's the CEO of a different company-- and country during the partnership..."
" Oh yes, I remember! But your dad is the CEO and you are the CCO in his company-- did you think he won't remove you from that place, because he has the power to do so-- if he is not proud about you being promoted?"
" He is proud of you Elijah, that when an American CEO of a huge company, decided to promote you-- give you a business trip to the States in three months since that man insisted because you have an excellent business skills to promote your company and business-- didn't you realize how happy your dad was?"
I sum all as I lift her spirit up, na parang ang bilis ko naring magsalita
" All I know is that.. He is busy all the time.. "
".. My grandmother is ill.. But yet my cousins are still there to look after her.."
" And my mo-- n-nevermind.."
I take a deep breathe as I hold her hand
" I believe in you, that you can do it.."
" The same as how you stay behind me on my dreams at Haiti.."
She smile sweetly as she begun to hold my hand a little tighter
" But.. Why am I not a part of your dream list?"
