Confession

Another story here for you guys, enjoy XD

In this story, you are the manager for your school's volleyball boy team.

You hummed to a song that has been stuck in your head for the whole day as you walk to the court to see the boys practice. It was after school when the practice took place. You were still outside the court when you heard some shouting "Go to the store room and take equipment out for practice, what are you waiting for?!" the coach of the team said. You inwardly roll your eyes as you enter knowing that the coach is not in a happy mood again.

You went in, greeted the coach and proceeds to help the players. While taking out the cart, you saw a junior walking towards you. You sighed knowing that it's the junior who always talks to you about his own stuffs that you don't considered it important.

"Hi" the junior said cheerfully. "Hi" you forced a smile on your face. So start the daily ramble of your junior while you alone is working to take the cart out.

While trying hard not the hit that junior, you heard some footsteps coming close to the both of you. You lifted up your head and saw the captain of the team, Ran Takahashi. He was in the same year as you in your high school. You had a slight crush on him, ok not slight but also not huge one, just a normal crush.

"Need some help?" He said,interrupting your junior. "Yes please" you replied, thanking heavens that you don't need to listen to that junior's rambling. While walking together he said "I saw you struggling with that kid and this cart, so i came to help you. It seems like you really don't like that kid." he laughed. "It is that obvious? I don't really like him but i don't want to hurt his feelings either." you said, feeling bad about being obvious. "Nah, based on him not stop talking i don't think he saw it" he said. "Well, that's good to know" You both laughed at what you said.

The practice went on smoothly as usual, with all the spikes and blocking, and also the coach shouting. Everyone was so tired at the end of it. While keeping the equipments back to the store room, the junior is back again by your side. "Hey i couldn't continue what i said earlier because the captain came. You know what happen that day at the cafeteria? It was absolutely awe-" He stopped.

You were wondering what stop him, and you found the answer when you looked up to see the junior running away like he saw a ghost. Confused, you turned your head to the other side and saw Ran glaring in the junior's direction. You couldn't help but laugh at that sight. "You looked like an angry bird" You said before you could stop yourself. Ran stop glaring and open his eyes wide at your statement. "Is that how you thanked me after saving you?" he said in a tone which you knew he was joking. "Okay, thank you sir" you both laugh happily and continue to keep the equipments.

Ran offered to send you home as you both stayed up late to clean up and you guys stayed quite close to each other. You both walk in silence as the wind blows, causing you to feel the chill. He saw it and asked  "Are you cold? You can have my jacket" He moved on the take off his jacket. "Nono it's okay, I'm fine really" but your actions had betrayed you when you hugged yourself tighter. "No you're not" He said laughing. He drapes his jacket on you, making sure you are covered properly.

The rest of the journey seems like it ends in a blink of an eye. Infront of your gate, you were about to return his jacket and bid him goodbye when he said in a low voice, head hanging low "i like you" "Huh?" you genuinely couldn't hear what he said because his voice is too low. He cleared his throat and this time, looked into your eyes and said properly "I like you"

After a few seconds, just realizing that you've opened your mouth wide. Quickly closing it, you can feel the heat rising to your face. "Erm..." you managed to say only this at the moment. Thinking that you've given your answer, Ran said "It's okay if you don't feel the same, i just need to get this out of my chest" with a pained smile. "No! i do feel the same" OK, to be honest you didn't know where did the courage came from or where did you found the voice in you to say that.

You've never seen he smiled so happily ever. "So i guess we're together now?" He asked, knowing the answer already. "Ya, i think so" you said shyly, looking at the ground. "OK then, see you in school tomorrow, bye and good night". he said while patting your head. You swear your face at that moment is as red as a tomato. You muttered a bye and ran back into your house without looking back.

You went to your room, and watched him walking to the direction of his house through your window. You saw him jumping to the air so happily. You imagined him giving a pep talk to himself in his heart before saying that 3 words to you. Your heart couldn't stop beating so fast that you were afraid that you've fainted. That night, you went to bed thinking about tomorrow and selot soundly.

Okay that's the end, I'm thinking about making other type of stories. For now just enjoy this XD
