Hold on

Ch 3

I used to see in her eyes is now barely shinning, her rays of sunshine that used brighten up the world at now dimmed! She breaths yet she hasn't lived in years. She hasn't been able to smell the rose's and think about all the beauty in her life. She doesn't live to see anything but the days pass on. She doesn't live to grow up but lives because she is to afraid of death and what it beholds, she is no empty and there is nothing I can do to save her but watch her go threw the struggle.....
It was about 3 in the morning th idea of pulling up to a motel was the greatest idea going threw Ethan's mind, a bed to sleep in, a few hours of shut eye. So he drove until he found a little motel away from the highway.  He wok Jessie up to tell her to move but let Riley sleep. He carried them in and they paid for room 613 and all went to bed.
The next morning Riley awoke in a strange room with no one there. Like any little girl would do she looked around and called out to see if anyone was there. She checked the bathroom and closet and even the door that was just there because there was a iron it it. She checked under the bed even though she knew she was to young to fit. She checked everywhere in the room so she moved to outside it.
She stepped into the hallway where thebwalls were painted blue and the floor had so many swirls that if you looked at it long enough you would get dizzy! She looked down the curvy hallway that looked like it went on forever. She looked at her door and said 613 to herself and headed left. She walked down the hallway looking down at her feet. She was wearing her green light up shoes that where to small but she streched them out but still hurt her feet with every step. She looked at the crumbs on the ground and how it looked not vacuumed in weeks. She looked at a little spider crawl by her feet, but she didn't scream or shout or stomp on it or even run away. She just looked at it as it walked on by. She looked at a crack in the wall and a giant stain on the ceiling. She noticed how the crack looked like lightning and the stain looked like its thunder cloud. She like how they tried to cover it with new paint but how it was still there and still visable if you looked hard enough.
She walked down the hallway until sh reached a door, she looked up above it and in big bright letters it said EXIT!! She remembered the time when we were staying in a motel for a vacation we were going on. She remembered how when they were leaving to go on a adventure to Disneyland or the beach they would always leave through the Exit doors, and so she did. What she didn't realize that on the door it also said only in cases of emergency, police, ambulance, and fireman will arrive, please do not exit unless emergency! She also didn't realize it was directly linked to the sprinkler system, just in case of fire. So as she opened the door, alarms started to blare, water started shooting from the sky and people from different rooms started running out and towards her. She stood there as they came running, one man in the beggining of the line pushed her to the side and ran down as fast as he could. The others kept running and running, until a man and his wife came out and from the corner of there eye saw her sitting there lying there and picked her up as they ran out the door!
From outside Ethan and Jessie had arrived in there car Ethan looking frantic and Jessie looking like she was going to kill someone! They parked there car and were about to get out when a cop car pulled up, so instead of buckling there seat belt they drove right back out! But as they where turning in the corner of his eye Ethan saw Riley being carried out by some strange person yet didn't stop but kept on driving!
As the man brought out Riley, he took her straight to the ambulance and set her down on a gurney, she was out cold and barely breathing. Her head was bleeding and the fall she had from the other day wasn't looking to good. One of the men asked what had happened! He said he said she had been laying on the floor next to the exit. Immediately he looked to the ambulance driver and asked if she was going to be okay! But the ambulance man just looked st him and very sadly said "I hope your daughter will be alright but for now we need to get her to the hospital, is there anything I need to know about her."
"I don't know, she's not my daughter, I just found her lying there." The man said.
"Alright then." He said and lifted Riley up into the ambulance and shut the door, and left spreading off, sirens blaring!
The mans wife just looked at him,"we need to go to the hospital now don't we?" The wife said with a worried look.
"I'm sorry, I know this is supposed to be our get away from the hospital but I feel like I need to go!" He said to her before saying "I'm sorry."
"Its OK honey, I know you didn't mean for this to happen and I saw the way you looked at her, I think we should go!" The wife said and they ran over to there car.
They sped over to the hospital, he knew where it was because of a fall conference a while back. He pulled straight into the ER and they ran into the building!
"Dr. Parker, I didn't think you were going to be here what brings you here? The chief of surgery said to him.
"A little girl just came in from a motel, do you know where she is!" He said.
"Yes, but I can't tell you unless I know what this is about, are you related?" He asked him but the look in Mr. Parkers eyes was enough for him not to answer. "Kelly will you go find out what is happening with that little girl that just came in and bring the news to Mr. Parker." The chief said.
"Right away Chief"Kelly said before running off to find her.
"Thank you!" Mr. Parker said.
"Yes anything for an old friend, but Justin what is this about, I was in unaware that you had a daughter."
"She's not mine, she was in the motel me and my wife Charlie where staying at and she was unconscious when we found her."
"Oh sorry, hello Charlie, its good to see you again." Chief said.
"Its good to see you, but Edward we would like to see the girl!"
"Ah yes, hold on a moment" he said as Kelly walked back. "What did you find." He asked Kelly.
"Are you sure you would like to discuss this in front of them?" She asked.
"Yes, Kelly now please."
"She was brought in for her head injury but there are signs of abuse, the front of her head has a wound from days ago that wasn't treated right and is infected, her shoes where cut off her feet from being to small and unable to fit her feet and when they tried to remove them they couldn't so they where cut off." She said and paused but then continued "her arm seems to be broken but is healing on its own." She said but was cut off by Charlie.
"Wait a bone doesn't heal that fast does it?" She asked.
"No" Kelly said, "the doctors think it was broken about 4 or 3 months ago just never treated, would you like me to continue." She waited for a answer but no one said anything. "She seems to be under weight and seems to have been starved, her back and arms and legs are all filled with bruises, all in hide able places." She said and then told them about how she how the police have been notified and they where on there way, then last she told them how they were moving her to brain surgery!
"Wait brain surgery!" Justin said, when he had brought her to the ambulance she didn't look that bad.
"Yes there's was bleeding." He said and then said that he had to get to the police that were just showing up.
