About a year ago it was Riley's fourth birthday, and back then she was happy. That year she wanted the biggest party this place has ever seen. She wanted everyone to come neighbors, friends, animals, to her it didn't matter she just didn't want anyone to feel forgotten, and so I did just as she asked, I ordered the biggest cake with a princess crown on it, that had to be taken off because shr didn't want to be the princess she wanted everyone to be the princess. I sent out invitations, and even though she wanted everyone we limited it to her friends and neighbors she knew and that I thought was nice,or atleast the ones that loved around us.  I went and got her just what she wanted, a teddy bear with a smile almost as big as hers. I got balloons and helium to fill them, just so everyone would know the party was here. I did everything to make this the best party she would ever have, and it was.

The whole night she smiled bigger and she shinned brighter then ever before. By the end of the night she asked me to help her frown because her face hurt.

She wore her new pink dress, that sparkled like a diamond in the sky and thanked everyone for coming no matter who it was or even if she didn't know them. She just was the happiest I have ever seen her.

But the next day wasn't so bright. That day was great, we spent the day dancing to music, and singing way off tune but somehow it was one of the prettiest things I have ever herd. We wore overalls and a T-shirt under neath even though its not considered "cool". Bit we did it and had a blast.

We later went for a walk in the park, we played on the playground and we pushed each other on the swing's. We played at the park till night fell and the clouds came out and it started to rain.

So we ran to the car as fast as her little legs could take her and we jumped in and turned the heater on. We sat there for about thirty minutes before I put the car into drive and we started for home. As we drove the rain poured harder and harder.

We pulled up to a stop light and waited for the light to turn green, the street was empty it was just us. But as I went on the green a car pulled out of no where, am!ashing right into us like a bomb in Iraq! Our car flipped over and over and over, we kept fliiping tell we landed and the roof of the car, both of us dangling from our chairs, horn honking and blood everywhere.

Riley started to scream in pain, her arms felt cold and her head stung. She called for me to help her, that she was hurting but I couldn't move, I was pinned in with no arm to help her.

"Mommy, mommy my head is bleeding" she kept saying. And all I could do was respond the best I could "its okay sweety help is coming were going to be okay." But even though I tried me talking wasn't the answer to her pain.

"Mommy your head is bleeding." She said to me and I hadn't even felt it. "Thats okay Riley, I'm okay." I kept lying to her.

"Mommy I'm tired can we go home and go to sleep?" She asked me.

"Riley we can sleep once we get home but right now we need to be awake. Okay stay awake Riley."

"Mommy can I just sleep for like ten minutes?"

"No honey stay awake." I said as a sudden pain went through my body and I screamed.

"Are you okay?" She asked me!

"Yes sweetheart, I'm okay your okay we are all going to be okay." I said and started crying.

"Mommy now can I go to sleep?" She asked me and I started to cry even more. "No honey we need to stay awake there are sirens coming for us and we need to be awake when they get here." I said to her before I started screaming help!

As I started screaming help, I herd the answer to my prayers, a siren. And then two and then more and more.

When they got here they tried loftiong the car but we started bleeding more and more. Riley was holding on just asking them to help me. But when she stopped for a second I could over here two people talking.

"You know it and I know it, if the mother lives the girl will die." One of them said before Riley started screaming again for someone to help me.

At that time an medic walked over to me and told me what was happening. The car was positioned so if they pulled riley out I would die and if it ewas me first she would die. And as soon as they told me she would die, I knew what was best.

I told them to give me a minute. "Riley, I need you to know I love you." I said to her and she said "I know and I love you to."

"Promise me you will always remember that. And promise me that you will always do your best and never give up." I said.

"I promise mommy but I don't understand."

"Riley, your going to be okay and that's all that matters." I said to her.

"Mommy..." She said right before she passed out.

"Riley, Riley. Ohh someone help her." I shouted and they came and got to her.

They told me to hold on but it didn't matter, I knew I was dying to save my daughter and that is all that mattered.
