tangled webs

Chapter 1: leaves in the wind

shade was in a place of peace.  she was sleeping and she was ready to wake up.  she opened her eyes and she was in the poisen jungle. she had been in the jungle ever since the breath of evil had taken over.  she had been raised by queen wasp so she knew all about how the mind controlling.  she got up and looked around before she moved just incase of dragons, no one was there though.  shade gathered her things and left her camp.  "why am i hiding?" shade asked herself.  she knew why, it was because of everything that happened in the last few weeks.  she couldn't even believe what happened.  she remembered something she had heard from a dragon at one point but, she couldn't  remember when..."storms of an indigo sky."  that's what she had heard.  she had heard some other things in her life that sounded like that but she didn't think that that mattered right now.  "storms of an indigo sky control the leaves in the wind." that was all she heard though.  when she was thinking about the whole storms and leaves thing she wasn't being careful enough... and ran into a leafwing.  shade stumbled back and the leafwing jumped back.  they both stared at eachother for a moment and then the leafwing spoke "hi, i'm bryony. what's your name?"  shade was wary but she answered "shade my name is shade."  it became quite and akward again.  finally shade asked " why are you here?  didn't all the leafwings go to pyrriah?"  bryony thought for a moment then said "no three none mind controlled leafwings were left here." "why don't you come with me to our camp?" bryony offered "we could give you shelter and food."  shade thought about that carefully.  on the one talon if she went then she could find out more about the breath of evil, on the seacond talon if she didn't go she would probibly be safer and draw less attention to herself but, on the third talon shade didn't really want to stay alone along time until a bunch of dragons saved the day.
