There always wasn’t any silence when you are around when you aren’t near the noisy Korean.  Always some type of noise; Music, tapping, humming, you name it. Im Yong would always bring the noise anywhere he goes. Just like this moment.
I knocked on his door and waited for the wooden door to be opened. I kept my head up and my left bangs behind my ear. The tall Korean man opened the door and flashed a smile.
“Oi! Aniki came to see me! That’s new. Did Kiku send you over to deliver the games I bought?”
“Well, not really...”
“Then why did you come here, Aniki?”
I bit my lip and looked down, this was wrong. I’m leaving Kiku for this, this is ridiculous.
“I-I came to say, uh... I came to see how things were going.”
Im Yong smiled and moved out of the way, allowing the smaller Chinese man to come inside.
“I’ll tell you everything that has happened when you left!” He looked rather eager to tell if you ask me. He always had this little sparkle in his eyes whenever I ask something about him, no matter the question. He’s such a little child.
I looked around the place as I stepped inside, taking off my shoes and leaving them beside the door.
“Nothing seemed to change around the door since I last came here.”
Im Yong laughed, “Wait till you see the living room, whole new TV! It was on sale and the quality was great! Samsung originated from me, Aniki. Samsung is power.”
I laughed and nodded my head in his direction.
He wasn’t joking around, the TV was a decent size for the price, great quality.
“Aniki, are you sure you just came by to see how things went. I thought you said you were going to go to Kiku’s and spend the night there.”
I looked down, Kiku made new plans with the Axis. They were going out to a bar, then karaoke.
“He made new plans, without me.”
Upon the words spoken, the Korean’s smile faded. “He made new plans, without you? Here’s a new plan! You spend the rest of the night with me; we can do whatever you want!”
I made a faint smile and nodded. “Can we watch dramas, heard your k-dramas aren’t too shabby.”
Oh the face he made the, little squee at the end, practical Im Yong Soo.
“Ye! We can!” He grabbed the remote and pressed a button. The screen had already been on a K-drama channel.
“Oh, it’s this one.. I’ll get the tissues.”
I sat down on the couch and stared at the screen, reading the subtitles that have been written in Mandarin.
“Hey, Yon? Why is it in Mandarin?”
“Wanted to learn a few days ago!”
I chuckled and crossed my legs, studying the emotions the actors had, examining the emphasis in their voices.
Im Yon came back with a box of tissues and smiled.
“Chinese dramas are better.” I said with confidence.
“I sense lies, Aniki, oi! And you’ll need this.” He handed the tissue box and lied back on the couch.
