[Third Person POV]

The water raged on as it slammed itself against the boat over and over, determined to consume it. Technoblade violently spun the wheel left and right, avoiding large rocks and other obstacles. Dream was still holding on to the wooden wall that held the awning, his nails digging into the structure.

A wave crashed in front of them, dipping the head of the boat downward and drenching everything inside.

"You sure you don't wanna go back?" Technoblade turned again and asked.

Dream was panicked and down right scared. "Stop asking! Just drive!"

The taller shrugged and whipped his head back. He suddenly gasped though at the sight before him. A waterfall. It was enormous and they were heading straight for it.

Technoblade worked quickly. He spun the steering wheel to the right rapidly, causing the boat to rotate. He then poured alcohol into the fuel engine, the fire roared in response as they increased in speed. The boat strained against the rushing water, the smoke puffing from the engine turning black as charcoal.

Dream squeezed his eyes shut, slowly accepting the truth that they were going to die and this was a horrible decision.

"C'mon.." Technoblade pleaded under his breath, basically praying that what he did was enough.

Remarkably, the boat was slowly, but surely winning this tug of war. They gradually towed farther and farther away from the drop. The skipper then turned the wheel left, causing the boat to curve into a river. As if God had just blessed them, the waves had calmed and slowed into a graceful rhythm.

"WOOOO! We did it! Holy crap we actually lived!" Dream shouted with the biggest smile Technoblade had ever seen anyone wear. It made him smile softly too.

Dream jumped up and embraced the taller one tightly, obviously too relieved to think correctly. Technoblade froze for a second, processing what just happened, then hugged Dream back stiffly.

A few moments later, Dream realized what they were doing and let go. He tucked a few strands of his short, dirty blonde hair behind his ear. "Sorry, got carried away." He said, looking down still smiling to himself.

The man with long pink hair smirked at Dream getting embarrassed. Although, he was a little disappointed that the warm embrace he felt was gone so quickly.

"We got to stop for a bit. The rough waters might've damaged parts of the boat so I wanna check on them." Technoblade said softly as he steered the boat to land slowly.

Dream just nodded and walked back to the front of the boat and sat down. He started to look through his satchel, making sure everything was accounted for and not destroyed. The light bounced off the blue orb glaring back at the blonde. He heard Technoblade climb out the boat, probably to gather supplies or something.

Dream was left by himself. He started to glance around at the boat, noticing the ropes scattering the floor and all the scratches covering the wood. The blonde looked over at where Technoblade left, only to see him walk deeper into the trees. He turned back and looked down at his black combat boots, slightly zoning out before blinking back into reality.

The dirty blonde then started to get curious. He stood up and began snooping around the vessel carefully. He almost tripped over a sudden indent in the floor, but when he looked down he saw a trapdoor below his feet. Before one last look at his surroundings, Dream crept inside quietly.

The space beneath was tall enough for him to stand normally. The whole setting had an eerie feel as small candles gave an orange glow and you could hear the creeks in the wood and the water gently pushing against it.

On the opposite side of where Dream stood was a beaten up door. It had a rusty metal keyhole and a rough feeling doorknob. Dream walked over to it, trying the handle only to realize it was locked. The blonde looked at the keyhole with mischievous eyes, "You must be stupid if you think a measly lock like this one will stop me, Techno." He said to himself as he pulled out the paperclip from before.

As Dream unlocked the door, he slowly cracked it and peaked through. Seeing that no one was there, he fully opened the door and his mouth went agape. There was countless maps like the one Dream had hung on the walls. The blonde scanned them all and then stopped at the sight of a hand-drawn picture of the Heart of the Sea. He held his hand up to it, his fingers barely grazing the paper.

Dream looked around some more. He saw a desk sitting next to a wall with a rather large book sitting upon it. He picked it up and opened it to a random page in the middle, he scanned the words with his finger carefully. Day 801, no sign of the Heart. The rivers are just too complex, it's hard to even know where one of these things might be. He read in a whisper.

So is he looking for the Totem too? And there's more than one Heart of the Sea? Dream thought as he fully processed what on earth he just found.

Suddenly, the sound of heavy footsteps was heard above him, indicating that Technoblade was probably back from whatever he was doing. Dream jumped at the sudden thump, but ran up and out onto the top deck with the book in his hand. He turned and walked over to the taller who was just staring at him with disbelief at the sight of the book.

"Care to explain what this-" was all he spoke out until he felt a tiny shock of pain in his neck.

Dream froze, his vision started to quickly go blurry as gravity began to pull him down.

Technoblade caught his limp body as the blonde went unconscious. He peered at his neck to find a blow dart sticking out.

"Shit-" the taller said aloud before he was shot in the forearm with one too, collapsing to the ground with Dream in his arms.
