It all began on a tuesday morning. Now you may be thinking:
-Why a Tuesday? Its not a particularily significant day.
-I mean, the morning part makes sense, I guess.
-But still, tuesday is technically the third day of the week, Nothing starts on a Tuesday, Nothing ends on a Tuesday, its not the middle of the week either, nor a day of much production, effort or deadlines.
Well as you know, the first day of school usually starts on a tuesday, because teachers feel they have to have a teachers only day to hold a meeting they could have literally done any time in the last six weeks. Anyways, I digress. It was an early Tuesday morning. Too early, and I found myself situated outside the principals office during the first period of my high school life. I heared muffled argueing and the occasional raised voice coming from inside. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Wow! Scarlet is so cool and rebelious getting in trouble in the first period of the school year! I want to be the swag hip yolo like her"
No.
In fact, I didn't even know why I was here. Meanwhile in class A 5 literally everyone will be trying to make friends and building up their exclusive and elite friend groups. of course, they will stay in these groups until year thirteen, forever excluding me.Leaving me out of the equation while I stay in my loner habits forever. keeping my reputation of a Socially inept Hermit. Great, there goes my social life! I had the smallest fraction of a chance to at least not be an outcast. AND it just so happened to have left.
Why me? Why can't I just have the powers of invisibility. I mean, most people would want normality in my situation, to be popular and pretty and get all the boys. Again, No. Quite frankly I despise at least 75% of the worlds population and how petty and obnoxious literaly everyone is in a first class society is. I would rather be an outcast than a "Popular". Ugghhhhh. I suddenly remeber my predicament as the office door swings open and an epectant office worker simply stares at me and does this sorta swoopy arm guesture, you know the one. It's that one. I stand silently, grab my brand new backpack filled with every single book I have for the year, as well as a school journal, reading books, pe gear and lunch, and enter the now silent princaples office.Inside I am greeted by a musty smell, my parents, and of course, the principal, Mr Jack. The secratery re enters the room and closes the door.
"Please, sit down, Miss Scarlet, I have been conversing with your parents." My stomache was in knots, even though I knew I jadn't done anything bad, I had been at school for half an hour, and 20 minites of that in a chair in a random corridor.
"You may be wondering why you are here," he spoke, adressing me. Yes, I am indeed wondering why you are literally ruining my reputation for the next five years of my life.Yes, I want to know why I have been sitting in a chilly hall instead of attempting to perform metaphorical CPR on my social life. I gave a silent Nod and kept my thoughts to myself as always.
"Well, it appears, we have had a bit of a , well, a mix up."and what A mix up it was.
