I was now sat upright on the bench, all the blood had gone to my head and I was dizzy. Loki sat next to me, waiting for me to carry on. Loki always comes across to other people as rude and impatient, but they don't take the time to get to know him. The only reason he's so cold towards people is because he's lived in Thor's shadow all of his life, he's never been the first choice for anything. That makes me sad. Loki is such a kind soul when you know him, he deserves happiness just as much as Thor does.

We'd been sat in silence for a while, he knows that when I'm ready to talk I will. I just need a little time to my own thoughts, that's all. Loki understands that and doesn't take my outbursts personally. That and he refuses to take any of my shit. Where as Thor, whenever I get angry he has a tantrum, he takes everything to heart. I know that it's only because he cares, he doesn't want to do wrong by me and he blames himself when he upsets me. But I just need a bit of time and then I'm okay, that's all.

I figured I should probably speak now, I'd calmed down and collected my thoughts.

"I don't want us to forget about each other"

Loki looked at me, still smiling, he brushed some hair behind my ear and then placed his hand under my chin, tilting my head up to face him "How could we forget you?"

I smiled, gratefully. Gazing into his eyes once again.

"Besides, how on earth could I forget how awful of a student you are" he joked, making me giggle a little. Tilting his head, he looked at me and sighed.

"Meg we can still have fun when he isn't here, you know that"

"I know, we have lots of fun together, but I don't want to lose us three, you know?"

"You won't, you're far too important to the both of us"

I smiled and hung my head, twiddling magic in between my fingers. Loki grabbed my hand to get my attention, I looked up at him, a huge grin on his face.

"Look at this" he said as he put his hand out in front of me. All of a sudden, tiny fireworks began shooting above where his hand was. My face lit up with excitement and I let out a childlike laugh.

"That is so cool! How do you do that?"

"Frigga taught me, you just have to envision it in your mind, want it to appear"

"I want to try" I put my hand out in front of me, I closed my eyes tight and thought about fireworks. I focused so hard on the bright lights jumping from my hand, I felt like it wasn't working.

"Meg open your eyes" he whispered

I opened them and there on my hand, were the fireworks. I was so excited, I'm pretty sure I even cried a little.

"See you can do this, you can do all of it, you've just got to put your mind to it"

I closed my hand and the fireworks disappeared, I looked at Loki who was already watching me intently. "Thankyou" I smiled "perhaps you aren't the worst teacher in the world"

"Oh don't make me regret teaching you that trick!"

I took Loki's hand and I stood up, he looked up at me confused. "Let's go to library" I said, he nodded in agreement and we made our way to the palace library. We spent a lot of our time there when Thor wasn't around. I like to learn about Midgard as well as read some books by Midgardian authors. Loki likes to read poetry, on a rare occasion he reads poetry to me.

The library is peaceful. Not many people go in there so it's like a safe space where we can go and not be bothered by anything going on outside of the palace walls.

When we get to the library I walk straight to the poetry, I grab the book that Loki always reads from and I walk back to him, handing him the book. He took the book from my hands, looked up at me and rolled his eyes "You want me to read to you". I smiled and nodded to him, expecting him to shoot me down "okay" he sighed. I was shocked at first, but then I smiled and began to relax.

Loki took a seat on one of the loungers, I sat on a chair across from him and started to get comfortable. I looked over at Loki who had a confused expression on his face, so asked "what's wrong?", to which he raised his eyebrows and replied "well I'm not going to read to you if you're all the way over there".

To that, I couldn't stop a huge grin from spreading across my face, my cheeks turning a shade of pink. I watched as he pat the space next to him and opened his arm out to me. I sat next to him on the lounger and rested my head on his chest, snuggling into him and taking in his smell. I closed my eyes as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, opened the book and proceeded to read to me.
