Jess - Is honestly really embarrassed and sort of aggravated and flustered as well. It is a crazy combination of feelings, and she cannot believe that she seriously put her feelings on the line and stressed so much about giving compliments when Rook cannot even understand what she's saying to her. However, she eventually tries to understand Rook and provide unspoken communication with her, and she is really surprised at how close they really are even without a knowledge of what the other one is saying verbally.

Grace - Is really quite surprised, and is a little embarrassed for not realizing sooner. However, she does not let it bother her too much, and tries to converse with Rook and teach her some English words as they go. She never loses any patience or grows aggravated because Rook is one of the best people she knows whether or not the woman speaks her language, and she is definitely worth all of the hard work and time.

Sharky - Thinks it is absolutely insane, but he does not really mind. He sort of thinks they're kind of like Pocahontas and John Smith in that Disney movie but without the romance. He decides to try to figure out what she speaks and what she's saying so maybe he can talk to her.

Hurk - Finds the entire thing really funny, and he just laughs for a good while after finding out. It is perfectly okay with him if she does not speak English. Just as long as the two of them keep blowing stuff up, then he is perfectly happy with that serving as their universal language.

Adelaide - Is totally at a loss as to what to say about it, but thinks it's pretty crazy afterward. She's honestly glad in some ways that Rook does not understand her words so that way Rook cannot ever react to her making lewd comments and whatnot. Of course, the reaction is part of the fun, so she sort of ultimately has mixed feelings about Rook not being able to pick up on it.

Nick - Does not have a clue what to say and is pretty confused about the whole thing. She was so convincing with her responses to social cues that he would have never guessed she did not actually speak English. He guesses that her slowness to react when she brought back Carmina and he asked her to help push the plane should have been his first clue, but he never has been particularly observant with these sorts of things.

Hudson - Is thrown off terribly and honestly is not sure what to say. After all, whatever she says is not going to be understood. At first, she feels pretty strange about all of the nice things and even the teasing things she had said to Rook flying completely over the woman's head, but she eventually comes to realize that Rook must have understood the sentiment behind it because her eyes always seem soft and warm when she looks at Joey. So that's good enough for her.

Pratt - Feels pretty bad for her not only because she is in a county full of people that pretty much speak one basic language that is not hers, but also because she cannot communicate her thoughts and feelings. It's a pretty unfortunate situation, and he tries to talk to her by using Google translate. It does not always come out perfectly and they sometimes lose things in translation, but he's doing his best.

Faith - Is extremely shocked, but adjusts quickly and takes action. She tries to help teach Rook to speak English so she can better understand what is going on around her not only for Faith's own benefit but also for Rook's. Once she has taught her a considerable amount of English, Faith makes sure to tell her all of the kind things that she had said to Rook over time so she can fully understand the compliments and Faith explains what it means to help Rook learn as well.
