Ship(s): Droey (Drew x Zoey), Zolliot (Zoey x Elliot)
Genre: Breakup angst
Zoey's POV
She sighed and nervously hovered her thumb over the call button, wondering whether she'd be able to do it or not. She blushed, remembering who had convinced her to go through with this.
Elliot.
She'd never thought she'd fall in love. It seemed like something for other people, or something that didn't exist at all, but was merely a fantasy created by storytellers. Apparently though, when she fell, she fell hard. Luckily for the blonde, he returned her feelings, and now they were dating- or at least, they would be. All she needed to do was break up with Drew, and the harder part, confess to him about her cheating and using him for his money.
She took a deep breath and pressed the call button, the phone ringing for a few short moments before Drew picked up.
"Hey, sweetheart." He greeted her over the phone, the pet name making her feel repulsed.
"Hi, Drew." She answered, not bothering to put on any of her usual airs. "Look, can we talk? I need to tell you something."
Clearly sounding worried, he spoke again. "Alright... where should I meet you?"
"The café by the park." It took a second before she remembered that was where their relationship had started. Now, it would end in the same place. How fitting.

Drew's POV
Drew ran up to his girlfriend, worried. "I came here as fast as I could. What is it?" He asked, taking hold of Zoey's hand comfortingly.
Oddly enough, Zoey shook off his hand and sat down at a table, gesturing for him to do the same.
"Drew..." She paused for a second, seemingly contemplating how to say what she wanted to say. "I've been a terrible girlfriend. I cheated on you, and used you for money, and now... I'm breaking up with you."
The last sentence echoed in his mind repeatedly. "I"m breaking up with you."
"No. No, you aren't. Please. I forgive you- it's all fine- just please- don't break up with me." He needed her. Needed her. Or at least, someone who loved him. Her love, fake as she had just admitted it was, was the only thing that kept him going.
She gritted her teeth, shaking her head. "No, Drew. I didn't want to say it, but those aren't the only reasons I'm breaking up with you. I found someone else."
Drew frowned, clenching his fist in anger. "Wasn't I good enough for you?!" He asked, raising his voice.
"Calm down," she hissed, looking around at the people who had turned to look at them. "Drew, you're great, but you aren't for me. I don't feel anything when I'm with you."
"But apparently you do when you're with... who, even?" He questioned her angrily.
She hesitated momentarily. "Elliot."
"You're leaving me for that freak?!" He asked, tears falling from his eyes because of all the emotion he was feeling.
Why is he better than me?
Why would you choose him over me?
Why?
"Look, Drew, I can't talk to you when you're acting like this... but we're over. Nothing is changing that."
She left the café and he followed behind, breaking out into tears as he decided to walk home, and it properly hit him.
My girlfriend just broke up with me.
I lost my friends first, now her.
They all used me.
All of them.
Maybe I'm just not made for love, platonic or romantic.
Maybe no one will ever really care about me.
