"Hello, hello, hello!" Zhao Meng, not at all a cultivator but famous among all for his friendship with Wei Wuxian and his exquisite wines, strolled into the Hall. "Hanguang-Jun, where's Wei Wuxian?"
"With the bride."
"Well, pretty much of a girl himself," Zhao Meng chuckled and sat on a seat Jin Ling showed him to.
"Where's your wife?" Xuanji asked.
"She's taking care of the inn in my place."
"Madam Zhao runs it better than Master Zhao does," Jiang Qiao laughed.
"Jingyi-gege!" Haoxuan ran to Lan Jingyi. "Jingyi-gege looks pretty!" He shouted, tugging on the gorgeous red robes.
"Thank you!" Jingyi ruffled his hair.
"Sizhui-gege, my lily?"
"Mn," Sizhui tucked a second lily into Zhao Haoxuan's golden-purple robes.
"Are you my pageboy?" Jingyi couldn't help but grin.
"Yes, I am!" A-Xuan giggled before gripping Sizhui's hand and standing with them.
Jin Ling was pacing back and forth by the door, biting his nails. "Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?" And then, she came. He jumped as he saw her coming up the stairs. "Hurray! She's coming!" He ran to stand beside Lan Sizhui.
"Head Disciple of the LanlingJin sect, Jin Xiyi! Elder of the YunmengJiang sect, Elder of the GusuLan sect, Xingguang Xian, Wei Wuxian!"
The guests waited anxiously until they finally saw a golden hair ornament appearing from the stairs beside a red ribbon flapping in the wind. Jin Xiyi walked up, head held low, face smiling as bright as the stars but hidden by the scarlet veil. Her Jin-bride's robes were dazzling and bright, lighting up her face and the entire Hall. Something strange glowed from the patterns on the robes. Lan Wangji and everyone else smiled. Wei Wuxian had lit the delicate designs up with energy, making the dress sparkle. A true Jin, Jin Ling beamed as he watched his cousin sister walk to the front. "Hi, Daddy!" Jin Ling and Lan Sizhui waved. Lan Jingyi was too nervous to.
Wei Wuxian, holding Xiyi's hand, walking her down the aisle, waved back with a glittery grin. His own robes, also red, were almost as bright as Xiyi's because both were lit by his energy. I wonder which one's the bride here, Lan Zhan smirked.
Wei Wuxian reached the front and winked to Jingyi. His father's warm smile calmed him quickly as Jingyi let Wei Wuxian take his hand and turn them both to the tablets on the table. Their ancestors. Lost parents. Everyone who was smiling down on them from above right now.
Nudging Jingyi once in the stomach, Wei Wuxian let them pick up the red cloth before skipping away to grab his own husband's hand. He sat beside Nie Huaisang and Jiang Cheng, with Sizhui, Rulan and Haoxuan still standing at the top.
Zhao Meng stood and crept to Wei Wuxian. "Psst, Wei Wuxian, here," he handed a jar and walked back to his seat.
Wei Wuxian passed the jar to a Jin disciple nearby and instructed her to replace the wine in the decorated bedchamber with this one. The girl grinned and ran off.
"A-Ying?" Lan Zhan sighed at his ceaseless mischief.
"Yes, yes, an aphrodisiac-scented wine. Tonight will be fun for them," Wei Ying grinned.
Lan Zhan tapped the table to gain his attention again.
"Aish, yes, yes, I asked him for another jar for us, don't worry," Wei Ying smiled.
