Dedicated to my friend Deltora for encouraging me to start writing. And for putting up with the weird me for nearly nine years :")

Noah's POV

I hate jet lag.

After nine years I've finally returned to Kellas. I'm not sure what to feel right now. The only thing I know is that the reason I returned was because of my father.

Two days ago, I received an email from my mother. The email indicated that my father was extremely sick with some sort of unknown disease. She didn't give me much information, as email isn't necessarily always secure. However, there was one thing that was made clear to me; come back to home as soon as possible, but without anyone knowing my identity.

I guess I should explain myself. I am Prince Noah Arthur Phillips, son of King William Andrew Phillips. I have no siblings and from the past nine years, I pretty much had no parents either.

When I was ten years old, I was kidnapped. And it wasn't just any ordinary kidnapping; it was a dreadful experience that I try not to think about still to this day. A lot was lost the day of the kidnapping incident including my innocent childhood.

I won't dwell into the details of what happened as it brings back awful memories and nightmares, but one thing was for sure; I was meant to die. It was a miracle that I had escaped.

After my lucky escape from my abductors, my parents began receiving threatening messages from a secret organisation. This organisation was called the S.P.R. and claimed ownership for my kidnapping incident. Their messages mainly consisted of ways to torture the Prince of Kellas, which was me.

Of course, the S.P.R. would've been a joke if it wasn't for the mere fact that they were actually an infamous organisation known internationally.

Hence, my parents decided to send me to England.

Again, I won't dwell too long in the details of my boring nine years in England. I guess the main thing that happened to me was that my personality significantly changed. I more or less kept to myself and even my interaction with people seemed to unnerve many.

But now I was back.

And yesterday I finally met my parents, which made me truly realise just how much I had missed my parents.

Although the circumstances that we met under were kind of depressing, I was glad to be back. What I wasn't glad of was the fact that my father was extremely sick, as in the 'close to dying' sort of sick.

So of course when my father requested me to do something, I agreed with no hesitance. Although now when I replay the conversation between my father and me in my head, I begin to freak out. Because honestly, I think I'll be needing help for this request.

"Noah, I know you are only 19 years of age but I have a wish that if you can do it, it would make me the happiest man ever".

"Of course dad! What is it?" I responded with no hesitance.

"I want you to be happy, unlike what you've been from the past years. I want you to have someone that will always be there for you."

I slowly nodded my head, signalling for him to continue.

"Son, I want you to be married to a woman that would not only bring happiness to Kellas but also someone that can bring light to your darkness. I want you to find your own sunshine, just like I did with your mother."

And so I agreed. I would find my own 'sunshine' to not only make myself happy but for my unwell father's sake as well.
