Holiday season

hey guys sorry for not uploading in so long! This chapter will be a bit short as it is the beginning of a new year for y/n and her friends. This page is about how the characters all get together even though not everyone made it alive and how much family still means to them also I added my little mix in it.  I hope you enjoy it.

A year later:

I run down the steps cheerfully "its Christmas time!" I'm sure by now I've woken up the whole house "happy holidays my dear y/n" says my mom hugging me looking happy, "happy holidays to you too, has dad woken up yet?" I say walking in the kitchen looking at all the delicious foods on the table. This sure does feel like the holidays. "good morning and happy holidays" says my dad coming in the kitchen seeing us two. I run to him and give him a hug. 

He laughs "someone is cheerful" he pats my head and we all head to sit down near the tree. My dad didn't really enjoy the holidays as a kid so I make sure I wrap his presents extra nicely. "alright  y/n pick one" my mother says nodding to me so I eagerly pick one and shake it a bit curious as to what it is then I unwrap it and I see a green scarf. I pick it up and look at it closer, I can see my name sewn in it with sparks around it. "I love it thank you" they both smile at me.

Trying on my new scarf I hear the doorbell ring I sprint to it as I almost forgot that Hugo and his parents are coming over too as well as grandma and grandpa and oh uncle George! "happy holidays!" I say to everyone as they all greet me cheerfully they all come in and I see Hugo sprint to me. "happy holidays y/n what did you get?!" hey asks me excitedly.

Me and Hugo are in my room talking about what he's been up to since we came home he tells me about all those exiting things uncle George has shown him in his trickster shop. "that sounds so fun!" I say surprised. I look at Hugo peacefully eating a chocolate frog remembering "I wonder what is Scorpius doing right now" he looks at me like I'm crazy "oh come on y/n he's not our friend we barely know him" he says.

I look outside the window seeing the snow falling down "he kind of is, I think he will be a good friend to us" he sighs and is about to say something but the door opens revealing Hugo's mom "dinner time guys, come on"  we both rush downstairs. We are all seated starting to eat as laughter and cheers echo through the house everyone enjoys themselves having dinner at the table. 

"so how is it going at school?" says my mom to Hugo

"its good, kind of crazy you know with what's been going around" I look at him and hit his leg underneath the table.

"ouch!" Hugo rubs his leg looking at me as mom does too

"what did you do that for?" she asks

"nothing it was an accident, sorry" I smile innocently.

Hugo grandad stands up with a cup in his hand "this is for another good year spent together as family and to remember the ones who couldn't be here" they all agreed silently

I look at my parents and smile as they do the same, mom comes with an idea.

"why don't you guys head over with George to his shop tomorrow huh?" she says and 

George looks at us "It's closed, I've decided to close it for now" they look at him shocked

"Why would you close it without even talking to us first?" Ron stands up annoyed with his brother. 

I can see his parents are upset as well as everyone goes quiet and George stands up from the table leaving with mom screaming after him. Hugo makes me a sign to go as well but as we walk an owl flies through our open window and lands on the table. The remaining of us look at it and dad goes to take an envelope from it and the owl flies away.

"it's a letter from the ministry" my dad says while reading it "there's been some accident at the Christmas fare". They all dress up quickly and leave out to go help as me, Hugo and mom stay behind.

Me and Hugo go to our deciding to wait there,

"There hasn't been any attacks in years really what could that have been" Hugo sits on my bed talking

"I don't know Hugo but I'd like to go and see" I say

"Bloody hell y/n that's crazy, we cant go!" he looks at me crazy

I put my shoes on getting ready to go but Hugo stops me from leaving.

"Think about it y/n your dad and mine already went, besides how will we get there!" I walk past him ready to open the door when it opens before i touch it revealing my mom.

"you want to go and see don't you" she says curious as to what my answer is even though she already knows I nod yes. " Lets go then".
