"Dad! Why do I have to have a selection! Can't I just be king and find a queen when I'm ruling?" Prince Fitz said
"Fitz. It's the best for the people and for you. When your mother and I die you'll have no one to help you" King Alden replied sternly
"I have Biana!"
"Biana won't want to help you she has other things to do than help you become king"
"I can rule by my self!"
"Fitzroy Avery Vacker! You need a queen. I'm going to hold a selection for you whether you like it or not! The village girls will be joining. I'll send an invitation right now"
"Fine." Fitz mumbled
Alden left and Biana appeared.
"Nice conversation Fitz." Biana said
"Shut up Biana. Your lucky you don't need a selection."
"I want a selection. You get to meet practically everyone in the village! Father would never let us go there unless there's an announcement he has to make and by the way I wouldn't help you, Father's right"
"hmmph" Fitz said and stormed out of the office

"Mom! I got a letter from the palace! Can i open it?"

Sophie blanked out when he started reading the names. Dex, her cousin got her back to reality when the last 5 people were announced.
"Stina Heks, from Sterling Gables! Linh Song from Choralmere! Marella Redek from Fluttermont! Maruca Chebota from Flowercliff (idk where she lives so I made it up) and last but not least Sophie Ruewen from Havenfield! The guards will pick you tomorrow in the afternoon! you will be living there for 2 months unless you get eliminated! Thank you!" King Alden said
People that got in were screaming cause they got picked while the people that didn't started crying.
"I got in!" Sophie said back at home with the Dizznees cause they went over.
"Good job Sophie i'm going to miss you though!" The Dizznees said
"I'll write to you guys when I can!"
"I'll go pack your suitcase!" Edaline said
"Thanks guys! I'm going to miss you!"
Sophie had the best night at Havenfield that day before her 2 months at the palace/Everglen.
