Fitz's POV

Biana didn't talk to me at all. After last night, she completely ignored me and acted like I wasn't there. I just left my father's study room and was going to change clothes to go to dinner when I fell to the ground.

I quickly got up and offered a hand to the person. It was the girl that had called me Fitz. She looked so pretty in the sunlight. The girl took it and got up. Our eyes met and I saw how pretty her eyes were. They were brown, with gold flecks. Everyone in this kingdom has blue eyes but this girl had brown. They were unique but also looked familiar.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." the girl said, not meeting my eyes.

"I'm sorry too. The view is really pretty right?" I responded.

"Yeah. I've never seen the kingdom like this before."

I smiled.

"I never caught your name." I say.

"Sophie. Sophie Ruewen." she says.

"Nice to meet you Sophie."

She gives me a small nod.

"Well, I have to go get changed, meet you in the dining hall?" I tell her.

"Ok." She says quietly.

I smile at her one last time and walk to my room.

A few minutes later, I finish changing and arrive at the dining hall. I walk over to my seat and sit down.

I look around to try and find Sophie. I finally spot her. She was with her friends, talking. We were allowed to sit anywhere but my father wanted me to sit here today and I didn't even know why. I spot Biana leaving the table. She walks right past me and goes to Sophie's table. Sophie and her friends welcome her and they all start chatting again.

Sophie says something which causes Biana to look over and glare at me. She turns around and says something to Sophie. They continue eating breakfast.

When everyone finished breakfast, we went to our ability classes. Before Sophie could leave, I ran up to her and asked her if I could talk to her. Biana glares at me while the others manage a small smile. I'm pretty sure they did that to be friendly.

"We have to go now Fitz. Excuse us." Biana said coldly.

"Please Sophie? It won't take long." I plead.

"Fitz, leave." Biana said again.

I was about to reply when Sophie cut in.

"It's fine Biana. You guys go ahead. I'll catch up with you guys later." Sophie says.

"Are you sure?" A girl with long black hair with silver tips said.

"I'm sure."

Her friends shrugged and followed Biana out the door.

Sophie waved bye to her friends then turned around to see me.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Do you want to go to the garden together for lunch?"

She thinks about this for a second before she replies.

"Sure."

"Great! Meet me by the palace entrance at 12:00."

"Ok. Now I really have to go to class now. See you later Fitz!"

"Bye!"

I walked down the hallway to my class. But I couldn't focus. She called me 'Fitz' again. I feel like I've met her before... Her brown eyes... They look so familiar.

I wasn't watching where I was going, and I crashed into the wall.

Hard.

The last thing I saw, was a maid yelling for someone to help, before I blacked out.
