"Mom have you seen my messenger bag?" I never leave home without it. Of course I don't, with all the girl necessity in it I couldn't, pony tails, a few extra gum pieces, gum wrappers, hand sanitizer, tights for some reason, lip gloss, and I also never left the house without some extra cash.
"Yes Cleo. Its just where you left it in your locker. You know I'm getting tired of cleaning up after you."
"What is it again, oh yes the cleaning speech. Well mother I have to go to school. So can you wait until school is over?"
"Youre going to Cam's after school." My mother argued.
"And then spending the night at Cecilia's house. Don't you love my plan?" I teased.
"Wonderful, just wonderful Cleopatra." Ok, that was definitely full of sarcasm.
"Hehe." was all I replied
"Have fun." she told me. "Just be careful ok?"

School was boring--as always-- but I got to miss gym for a test make-up. So that was a plus. I also couldn't wait to go to Cams so that made my day drag even more. Cam had told me he needed to tell me somthing, and I don't think it was something bad because when he told me, he wore a smile.
When I finally got to Cam's he was sitting on the couch in the living room, where we had told each other we loved one another--millions of times--and spent many days playing 20 questions and watching old documentaries and many "Chick-flicks" as he called them.
"Ok cut to the chase, I can't possibly wait any longer." "Well," he began. "well what?" I was itching to find out what he was going to tell me. "well, since you're so antsy I think I would like to wait another day and watch you squirm. Just for fun." Mrs. Lanning then came out. "oh Cammy don't be so mean, she won't kiss you anymore if you're rude." "Mom," he had that tone in his voice again. "Shes just telling the truth." I turned my body to show him I wasnt joking. His arms wrapped around me and I saw his head turning to kiss me with a great big grin on his precious face. I reacted. Dodged the kiss and managed to slap him in the same motion. "Ow!" Mrs. Lanning burst out laughing. "I tried to warn you." "but he didn't listen, now did he?" I finished for her. "No he did not." We laughed. He was coming at me again. I let him this time but didn't kiss back. "Ok fine, Ill tell you but not until you kiss me." "I'm not kissing you until you tell me." "well stinks to be you doesn't it?"
"Cameron Mason Lanning. if you don't tell her I will and it won't be romantic when I tell her." Ok so mama Lanning had come out. I didn't mind, it was actually kind of funny. "Fine, but you have to kiss me after I tell you." "Ok fine, but you have tell me quick. I'm supposed to be at CeCe's already." " Having a slumber party are we maybe Michael and I can crash it." " don't change the subject, and anyway you know Cecelia doesn't like Michael in any way whatsoever." " well fine then, were going to Florida for two weeks." " Aww man I have to hang with just Cecilia for two weeks?"
"Well not necessarily, um we have an extra ticket since my grandmother got remarried and is on vacation for her honeymoon. And we were wondering if you would like to use it?" "You mean go to florida with you guys?" "well, yes, will you?" "I would love to, but, my mom." That was explanation enough. "well, will you atleast talk to her?" "Yes yes of course!" I kissed him, but not just because I had promised him I would, or that I was leaving, but because I was so genuinely happy. "Bye," I got up, he didn't move an inch, "whats up?" I was confused, he pounced. grabbing me and carrying me to his car buckling me up. "I'm taking you to Cecilia's." "I can buckle myself." "I know, but I promised your mom I would get you there safely."

Later that evening CeCe and I were having fun doing a dance party to The Cab's latest record - lock me up- and singing as loud as our lungs could go possible. It was the time of my life. then we got serious. "You're kidding, right? two week with the Lannings? you're mom will never agree." "Thats the only problem." "I am the captain of the debate team, you know I could convince your mom that I think its a great idea and so does she. For that matter." "Oh, that's just wonderful CeCe, and then we can go catch unicorns in cotton candy clouds." I added sarcasticly.
