Hi, my name is Aquatia Thea Cruz and I'm a half-blood. I know what you are thinking, "Oh, so this story is going to be about you fighting monsters?" and NO, not exactly, well, not yet anyways. I actually live in a part of the world populated by many half-bloods... so the gods decided to put up a shield in that area (like in Camp Half-Blood) so monsters can't attack us. Where is this, you may ask. Well, it is none other than- LA.

Who is my godly parent? Poseidon. It's not easy (but I'm not complaining some have it wayyyy worse than me), even with no monsters attacking you. My dad has never visited me, but I live at a super-cool lake-side house. I do love my house, It is kind of like a villa and I could never ask for anything more. I love swimming (obviously) and I can control the water too. I go to a stupid school nearby. I am what you would call a, uh "popular student" I guess, (well kid I don't study much. or at all) and unlike some people I have 'friends', more or less. I have dyslexia so you probably guessed I am not a very bright student-- more of a... rebel?

"Bye mom!" I said, then grabbed my skate board and head to school. Once I reached I went up to class and sat down at my seat, still chewing my gum. Next to me sat the teacher's pet and the most annoying girl in class- Jemima, also my neighbour. I rolled my eyes and steadied my gaze to the teacher who had just walked into class.

"Alright class, take out your homework!" Mrs Johnson said. Immediately, Jemima pulled out a thick wad of papers and started neatening it. I just stared blankly at the teacher. "Miss Cruz, do you have something to say? I do not see your homework." Jemima smirked at me.

I rolled my eyes yet again and walked towards the teacher, "Detention?" I sneered. Then to my surprise she shook her head.

"Miss Cruz, you have the longest streak for not handing in your homework, you get toilet- cleaning detention!" she whispered in my ear. I winced. I had only gotten that once before and it was like HELL.

"What!??" I demanded. I left the class. I heard Mrs Johnson beckon Jemima and tell her to collect the homework and keep it in the teachers' lounge.

Ok let me clarify this what is toilet detention? So, it is when the rotten school decides that it does not have enough money to afford a decent cleaner! And they resort to work out this sick concept (and by "sick" I mean disgusting) where students get into so much trouble that we have to clean the toilets as punishment!

I don't think I have to describe that-- I heard snickers as I stormed out of class.

---

After a horrible day at school, I returned home, cranked up my music and decided to make an enchilada for my self to eat. Then, I sunk into the couch and just stayed there for a while, relaxing. And to ruin my relaxation I heard someone call, "COULD YOU LOWER THE VOLUME OF YOUR HORRIBLE MUSIC?" It was Jemima. WHAT THE HELL? What. Did. That. "Perfect girl". Have. Against. Me??!?!

Frustrated, I turned off the music and decided to dive into the pool connected to my house, that always helps me calm down. "Just going to swim away from your problems again Aquatia?" She said, standing at her balcony.

I smirked, "Maybe, but weren't you supposed to be at that party with your friends?-- Oh wait, you don't have any friends." We stayed like that, arguing and throwing insults at each other. I had the urge to wipe that smug smile off her face by hurling a wave at her, but I controlled myself.

Then, I walked back in my house, cleaned off, and head to my room. The walls were the colour of the sea, my guitar lay next to my bed, and the my special bracelet glittered in its case. I had a bean-bag off in one corner of the room and I had hung LED lights around the walls. My study table was cluttered with anything you could imagine except books. I sighed in exasperation then curled up on my bed... eventually falling asleep.

My dreams were weird, as you would expect. I was transported to Jemima's house and all around were blueprints and I saw Jemima wielding a dagger sparring with a mannequin. Of course it lost, she sliced it in half with her gleaming bronze dagger. But... It did not look like normal bronze.. More like my the bronze my weapon was made of...

I hope you guys like the first chapter, I must admit I do not get all credit for this story, my friend actually helped me make it :)
