Kellin wanted to say that everything went back to normal after a while. But, obviously, it didn't.
It took him a while to get into contact with his other friends. Oli had told them he was home but asked them to give him a couple of days. Kellin felt terrible about that and wanted to meet them after what happened with Oliver but Oli had told him he needed to rest first and collect his thoughts.
So, he listened to Oli and gave himself a few days. The older man stayed by his side the entire time. He held him when he cried, making sure he ate and held him closer when Kellin would talk in his sleep while having particularly sad dreams. It wasn't until one morning, at least another week after—by then July was almost over, that Kellin finally decided to tell his friends to come over.
Oliver had cleaned up the place a while ago when Kellin was asleep. It didn't look as trashed as how he found it but, it was still rather empty-looking now since he had to throw away a lot of things. It didn't matter though, he was going to look into places for Kellin so he didn't have to live here anyway. Oli had debated on telling Kellin to move in with him for the time being since living in this house wasn't healthy for the singer.
But that was a conversation for another time.
It was nearing 2 pm when there was a knock on Kellin's door. The singer had been upstairs showering while Oli had just finished cleaning the dishes he dirtied after making Kellin lunch. He dried his hands before walking over to the door and opening it.
He was met with a group of people that, if Oli didn't know any better, would've thought they were going to jump him by how they stared at him. They sort of did since they all pushed through to get in, making the taller man stumble back so they wouldn't trample him.
"Where is he?" Justin asked as he looked around the place. The others did the same and they took notice of the missing things from the place and how some of the furniture hadn't been moved back in place. "Did he get robbed while he was gone? Jesus, he has the worst luck."
"Justin," Gabe glared at the man, making him instantly shut up before looking back at Oli. "Is he okay?"
"He's as okay as he can be right now," Oli said as he closed the door before facing the group. "He's upstairs, I think he's still taking a shower."
"Did he... ya know, tell you what happened?" Andy asked a bit awkwardly. Andy felt a bit dirty being here since he was also friends with Nicholas. But, it felt right to be by Kellin's side instead. Plus it wasn't like Nicholas needed the support right now since Vic did what he always did—worm himself out of the situations.
"Sort of." He brought his hand up to scratch the back of his head, "He didn't really want to talk about it."
"I'm gonna go see him," Jesse finally spoke. He didn't wait for anyone to say anything as he walked up the stairs to look for Kellin. Jesse in particular felt absolutely shitty over what happened. It felt like he was the one who set off this chain reaction and he was left worried sick about Kellin.
'If only I would've kept my mouth shut.'
Jesse made it to Kellin's room, knocking on it gently till he heard a soft, "Come in."
The singer walked in and saw Kellin standing by his bed as he towel-dried his hair. Kellin slowed to a stop seeing Jesse walk in. Jesse felt even worse seeing Kellin now; he had sunken, tired eyes and looked even paler than he already was. There was this sad look on his face as if it had been permanently etched on.
