Chapter 5

There was a soft knock on the door. A waitress in a kimono came in to serve the two of them. She acted skillfully and did not make a sound which shows that she is well-trained.

It's just that the perfume on the waitress' body was a bit heavy. When she passed by Xia Liang, Xia Liang frowned silently.

After the waiter left, Xia Liang suddenly asked, "Li Mo, do you smell the perfume?"

Li Mo was startled and didn't care too much.

"It seems that there was a faint smell just now. It was from the waitress, right." 

"What about now?"

"Now?" Li Mo took a breath, "I can't smell it now."

Xia Liang didn't ask any more questions thinking that Zhou Shuo's nose really had a problem. He said he smelled perfume on his clothes. He doesn't know if it was the rouge that the kid got when he went to see the girl.

After a pause like this, Xia Liang resumed their previous topic: "Do you still plan to continue acting now that you have returned to China?"

Li Mo turned the wine glass in his hand. He was silent for a moment then said, "In the past few years, I have continued to study while asking myself whether this path is suitable for me. But I am really not willing to give up acting ..."

"Then go ahead." Xia Liang said, "I guess you still can't let go of it. You have a talent for acting but your luck is not good; although your personality is a bit slow and hot, there is nothing wrong with it. Don't blame it on your character."

Xia Liang paused, then said, "If no one asks you to act in a play, I can..."

Li Mo immediately waved his hand and said, "No, you have helped me a lot in the lawsuit four years ago. I can't trouble you anymore."

Xia Liang frowned. 

"Are you still treating me as a friend?" 

Li Mo sincerely said: "You are the only friend I can trust but I can't rely on you for everything. This time, I want to stand up again by myself."

Xia Liang spread his hands and said, "Well, let's take a step back. If you move to my villa, I won't interfere with your work too much."

Li Mo still wanted to refuse but Xia Liang insisted. 

"My villa is unoccupied and it's not good that it's empty. If you move in, you can look after the house for me so I don't have to worry about it from time to time."

Li Mo laughed and thought for a while. He didn't refuse anymore and raised his wine glass and said, "I won't say any more sour words. I want to offer you a toast and say thank you."

Xia Liang then raised his glass and touched them lightly. The atmosphere became a little more lively. The two continued chatting for a while.

 Xia Liang suddenly asked, "That Gu Lixuan, has he come to trouble you lately?"

Li Mo pursed his lips and said nothing. 

Xia Liang squinted his eyes: "Is he still harassing you?"

"I didn't know where he got the news. The day after I returned to China, he sent me a message saying he wanted to meet me." 

"Did you meet with him?"

"Not yet." Li Mo paused, "I didn't reply to him." 

Xia Liang frowned and said, "You are already in a state of semi-retirement. What else does he want to do to you?"

"I don't know." Li Mo shrugged, "Maybe I am worried that I will get revenge against him when I return to China so I plan to take the initiative first."

Xia Liang took a deep look at Li Mo.

"Actually, I want to ask. Do you want to retaliate against him? He suppressed you so hard back then and I haven't got a firm foothold in the Xia family then. Apart from helping you pay liquidated damages, I didn't help. But now I have enough ability to be your backer. As long as you say the word, I can ruin the surname Gu and they can never get involved in the entertainment industry. "
