Min Riera

"You couldn't even wait to let me park my bike", I said under my breathe as I resisted the temptation to roll my eyes at the 5'9 foot tall man standing sternly in front of the back door parking lot.

As I took my shoes out from my basket, I could hear his footsteps echoing loudly over the walls of the large empty space. "What's wrong?", he asked gently as he searched my face for an answer.

"Nothing's wrong, Mr. Park", I said, putting on a smile, trying to distract him from the large noise my shoe made when I aggressively 'dropped' it on the ground. I heard him sigh at my stubborn state as I slipped my foot in. "Riera, your foot needs to heal, stop wearing those", he tried hovering his hands over me, clearly being cautious to not add anymore flame to my already burning attitude.

But regardless of what he said, I closed my eyes, looking down as I quitely winced at the pain my broken foot has gave me. However, the pain on my ankle was nothing compared to the pain I felt in my heart when I saw his white diamond engagement ring as it wrapped around his ring finger.
His hands laying down on the seat of my bike, leaning his body towards me.

I wanted to resist, but I just couldn't help seeing it. So I succumb to the urge to push his hand off my seat.

Which, I realized after, that I shouldn't have because for some reason, my eyes searched for his. "Please don't think I was playing you", as much as I was sure that heard pure sincerity in his voice, I didn't want to hear more of what he has to say.

"How?", but of course, my mouth never lets my brain make decisions as at that moment my heart spoke to him, desprately trying to find an answer.

But to my dissapointment, he gave no answer.

I just nodded my head painfully, stopping my tears from falling as silence never felt so hard to hear.

His eyes swirled with emotions that could speak essays, but his mouth didn't let him. His usual confident stance started to twitch into something on the contrary. I heared him sigh as he broke his eye contact, ruffling his hair, being frustrated, as sweat started to form in his milky skin.

"I-", my heart leaped in joy as he finally spoke up but the joy didn't last long as he was cut off with, "Love!", a bright sunny voice calling out for him.

Her high heeled shoes clicked and clacked on the hard pavement as she walked excitedly towards us, which might I say, annoyed the hell out of me.

I wasn't looking at her, nor was he.

We just stared at each other eyes, broken, as her footsteps became louder.

"Love, I've missed you", the girl said as she tip toed a little to reach her fiancés cheek which she moved closer by tugging lightly on his left arm.

"Me too, Love", and there goes my last drop of happiness.

"Hi, I'm Choi Jihyo", the girl said as she reached out for a handshake. Which I bitterly took.

"I'm Riera", never felt my throat get dry just by saying two words. "What a pretty name, are you Jimin's friend?", I get that she's nice.

But no.

My system wanted to reject every once of sweetness she was putting out. "Oh, what a silly question of course you are and since you're friends. Here", she said as she gave me one of the blue colored envelopes that she was holding.

I smiled back a little as I opened the scented envelope and to my expectations, my heart dropped at the cursive dark blue fonts that welcomed me. It read,
