Three weeks later
"Wow you look beautiful Rae" Dawson said as she came out her front door.
"Thank you Daws." She said as he helped her down the stairs.
Dawson opened up the car door for her and let her in first.
"Rae this is my mom Winnie. Mom this is Raegan." Dawson said
"Nice to meet you Mrs Barnes." Rae said
"You can call me Winnie honey." Winnie said with a smile.
She drove them over to the school where the Homecoming Dance was. The dance was going well. Bucky showed up with Hayley on his arm they agreed to go as friends. Everyone was having fun and mingling.
Bucky looked around for Rae during a slow song and found her dancing with his little brother just as Dawson and her shared their first kiss together.
"Oh hell no.." he whispered
He was snapped out of his jealousy by the counselor taking the mic.
"Good evening everyone, we have our winners. We will start with the freshmen class our Lady and Lord of the court is....Raegan Connelly and Chase Andrews." She said
Chase held out his arm. "My lady." He said as she took his arm.
They walked up to the stage, they were given sashes Rae had a small crown and flowers. The guidance counselor went on down the court. She was to Homecoming King and Queen.
"Our homecoming king and queen is....well this is no surprise Bucky Barnes & Hayley Jasper." She said into the mic.
They joined the other winners was given their sashes and crowns.
The DJ played "True Colors." By Cyndi Lauper.
Rae went to the bathroom when she came back out Bucky was waiting for her. "My baby brother.." he said
"He's my boyfriend has been for a week now." She said as she walked off.
He sighed and went back to the dance.
