14. Afternoon

*At the scene of the fight*

Steve: It's never ending, how are we going to stop this?

Tony: Just a moment, JARVIS picked up a signal.

Tony: Can someone come and see this?

Everyone is gathered around a strange machine while fighting.

Nat: Tony, what is this?

Tony: Seems like it is gathering energy from all around it. Things are going to start shutting down.

You: What are we going to do about it? Can we destroy it?

Tony: It'll explode. We can't take it out. It's rooted to the ground.

Everyone else is still fighting against the enemies.

Steve: Since when did Hydra have robots?

Wanda: They don't. It's not them.

Nat: Then who is it?

You: No. I think it's Hydra. They found a sponsor.

Nat: What do you mean?

You point at the machine.

You: Look, there's the Hydra logo on the machine, along with Ultron.

Nat: So it's Ultron's tech?

You: I guess so.

Nat: We need to find a way to stop this.

You: I guess I can build a wall around it and use water to short circuit it.

Nat: Are you sure this is going to work? You think water is going to cut it?

You: Do you have any other better ideas?

Nat: Tony said it's going to explode!

You: There's nothing else we can do! It's not that big, I should be able to freeze a solid wall. Cap's shield will probably help too.

Steve tries to put Nat out.

Steve: Come on Nat we need to buy Y/N some time.

The rest of them focus on the incoming robots. Wave and wave of robots keeps on coming. Due to the heat from the machine, your ice keeps melting. You have to concentrate on both building layers of ice and freezing the ice that has melted. You can feel your breath turning colder but you know it is getting closer.

You: I am almost done. All I have to do is put water in it.

Steve: Ok, I am here.

Steve takes on a defensive position and gets ready for the blast.

You: Ok... Putting the water in now.

Like Tony said, the machine did explode. All the robots shut down, stop working and just fall to the ground. While the ice did prevent some of the damage being done, there was still some substantial damage done to the immediate surrounding area. Since everyone was surrounding the machine, everyone got pushed backwards, with you and Steve suffering the most.

Tony: Is everyone ok?

All of them: Yeah.

Wanda: What about Y/N and Cap?

Steve: I'm ok.

Tony: Cap is ok, He's just fainted from the pressure.

Everyone turns to look at you.

You: It's already the afternoon... my -

Nat: Y/N is really cold.... to the touch.

Tony: Let's bring them back first. Can someone please change Bruce back.

Nat went to find Bruce while the rest helped you and Cap back to the compound.

Wanda: Are they going to be ok?

Clint: We need to wait for Bruce to get back to find out more.

Nat: I brought him back.

Nat and Bruce are seen running into the room.
