Hogwarts always looked so breathtaking during December. Things were starting to ease up for (y/n) for the first time since her father was diagnosed. You and Cedric were..., well it was complicated considering you had to hide it from your brother. Cedric was trying to be patient and respect your wishes but you could see he was impatient to be out in the open with you. (y/n) was scared to ruin the relationship that was starting to mend itself with her brother.

"It'd be a bit more impressive if she hadn't done it about eighty times before," Harry says as you catch up to him and Ron. They still reeked of the sickly sweet perfume in the divination room.

"What would be more impressive?"

"Trelawney's predictions." Ron answers.

"But if I dropped dead every time she's told me I'm going to, I'd be a bloody medical miracle." Harry says, almost dropping his books as your arm brushes against his.

"You'd be some sort of extra-concentrated ghost," says Ron, chortling, as you pass the Bloody Baron going in the opposite direction. "At least we didn't get homework. I hope Hermione gets a shit ton from Professor Vector, I love not working when she is. . . ."

But Hermione wasn't at dinner, so the group decided to go looking for her in the library. The only person in there was Viktor Krum and his friend. Ron hovered behind the bookshelves for a while, debating whether or not to ask for an autograph. You decided to put an end to his misery and slid into the empty seat next to Krum.

"Hi Viktor, could you do me a favor?"

"How can ve help you Krastoka?" His blonde friend purrs.

"Sorry you must have confused me with someone else, I'm (y/n)." You chuckle nervously, something about his friend made you uncomfortable.

"No,no Krastoka means beautiful in Russian" Viktor explains, motioning to his friend. "Maks is...how do you say in english...a flirter"

His friend lifts your hand and gently kisses the top. He's staring you down like you're about to be his next meal.

"Maxim Borisovich, it's nice to finally meet you." His Russian accent was almost inaudible.

"Um Yeah you too." You answer, suddenly regretting the decision to get Ron an autograph.

"Vat favor do you need?" Viktor asks, leaning back in his chair.

"Oh..Well you see that guy over there, with the red hair." You say pointing to Ron who was pretending to organize the bookshelf. " He's a really big fan but he's too shy to ask for your autograph. I was just wondering if you could sign this parchment for him?" You say, watching Viktor's eyes fixate on the piece of hair you were twirling.

"Yes of course." He answers, quickly grabbing the quill from your fingers. "Vat's his name?"

"Ron Weasley."

As soon as he hands you the piece of parchment, you excuse yourself from their table.

"Ah Veelas" You overhear Maxim sigh as you walk off. "Such volatile creatures, you know Viktor, they use you for their benefit then leave abruptly. Like a sugar cube melting in your mouth, leaving a bitter aftertaste."

"Wonder where she's got to?" Ron says speaking for the first time since he'd received his autograph. He was beaming as you and Harry went back to Gryffindor Tower. He didn't even seem upset that Krum had written Ron Weaslee instead of Weasley . All he could manage to choke out when you gave it to him was (y/n) you're bloody amazing.

"Dunno . . . balderdash." Harry replies, opening the portrait door. But the Fat Lady had barely begun to swing forward when Hermione arrived.

"Harry!" she pants, skidding to a stop beside him . "Shite Harry, you've got to come...you've got to come, the most amazing thing happened...please... Come to the kitchen"
